These pliers have great grip with the notch in them. Used them for some pipe fittings I normally wouldn’t use “gripping” pliers for.

These are good for almost everything the slip joint pliers are good for plus a lot more situations that slip joint pliers are too small for. I thought I might need the largest size but the “medium” and small ones are working out fine for almost everything so far. I don’t notice any problems with the build quality.

These things are the best I've ever used! I love the fact that these slip locks don't come loose, or jam like cheaper ones do. The locking button feature makes them easy to adjust and keeps them at the size you set them at. You don't have to fight with these; they just work!"You pay for quality, because quality pays for itself."Just a few jobs in and Irwin's are already my all time favorite handy-man tools.I have the tools pictured in this review, plus a couple of hammers, several sets of vice grips, squares, T-squares, plus probably a few other things by Irwin in my tool box. They just don't let you down!
