This product is fantastic. Thickness for my garage was just right.1. One Amazon reviewer that made a video on this product used a jigsaw to cut the panels. That was probably the best suggestion ever. I did the same thing and made for clean cuts every time. Little residue was left on the floor from the cuts being made with the jigsaw. See pic of floor.2. As other reviewers noted not all panels on the garage door will be the same size to cut them down to. Take your time, measure twice and cut once. Use a T-square if you have one.3. As another Amazon reviewer noted, you may need for garage door company to come out and re-balance the doors due to the extra weight of the foam panels being added. My double door took on an extra 20lbs using this product and the single door took on an extra 10 lbs. You would never know it because of how light these panels are.Pictures below show the Double door WIP and finished, and a closeup of the double door.My only issue was the price point. Roughly $20 a panel which is steep.Very Happy, Highly recommend!UPDATE: 4/18 - I have been going to the garage on really hot days. What a difference these panels make. The panels are cool to the touch, however you can tell how hot the garage door really could be when you touch one of the "L" brackets on the inside of the garage that makes contact with the front of the garage exposed to the heat. WOW what a difference !!!

We have a west facing, metal garage door that gets scorching hot. Ordered 3 boxes. Took about 3 hours to cut and install. It works perfectly to keep our garage cooler. Not a single piece was broken. I recommend getting some good razor knives and a metal straight edge.

Amazon shipped this USPS and the local truck can’t carry a package this big. Why USPS accepts a package they can’t deliver bewilders me. I thought the post office would deliver in rain sleet and snow no matter what?The product itself is good quality. It looks good once installed. I struggled to get them installed without damaging the panels. I do not think that’s the fault of the product but I was disappointed it was not as user friendly as my perception. Again, that’s not the fault of the manufacturer or a problem with the product.My advice, measure carefully, look for garage door hardware that will interfere with the panel even after carefully measuring. Note the difference between the two halves of the garage door, the panels are not all the same size.Be patient, measure and undersize the panels as needed to allow bending and flexing without damaging.It does look nice when done and stops drafts and condensation in heated shop space.

We have two doors without insulation, which would probably be okay if we parked our vehicles in the garage, but it is more of a shop that gets cold in the winter and hot in the summer. The R value on this isn’t great, except compared to the zero rating without it.The size of these pieces are perfect to fit half the door panels without trimming, the other 4 I had to trim just over an inch off: the left side of the garage door panels tuck inside on both ends, while on the right side one end is flush against the door frame. Before and after pics are posted. I did the left side first, as no trim was necessary, and the first one was the second from the top, and if you look closely you may notice that the imperfections become less as I learned. I needed to exercise patience and massage the pieces into place. We have two doors, and I only bought one-in case I didn’t like it, but I just ordered another to do the other door. We still have some hot days ahead, so I’ll be able to see how noticeable the difference is. I know it will better than it was with nothing for sure.Update! Door number two done. Start to finish, including tools put away and clean up 50 minutes. Added pics show all the tools I used in one and my entire waste. I enjoy listening to music at a semi high volume in my garage/shop, and now the next door neighbors won’t be subjected to it. I’ve checked and the difference is considerable. Bonus!

The panels were easy to cut, use a sharp cutter to minimize the Styrofoam waste. It wasn't as bad as some stated regarding the clean-up. I did remove the screws on each panel before installation. I cut each panel 1/4" shorter to ease installation. The right side of the door had "L" brackets on both sides. I slipped in a 1/2" piece on the right side and cut the panel to fit make it easier to install. The right panels were the most difficult to install. All other panels took about 10 minutes to install per panel. I used the excess trim pieces to frame in the windows. I used 3M white tape to cover the Styrofoam edges and two-sided tape to secure the framing. I ensured there was a tight fit of the vertical pieces to hold it all in place. It all came out looking great. I had 3 full panels left out of 16 panels on my two-car garage.
