This works a lot better than indoor antennas that I tried from Amazon. I get 19 channels - all local channels like CTV, GLOBAL, CITY TV,CBC, CHCH AND CHANNELS FROM BUFFALO like Fox and CBS- No CNN or ABC. I put this in Porch on a swing about 5 feet high from floor pointing towards Buffalo, NY I think I can get lot more channels if I put it on roof which I am not willing to do as I am getting the channels I want. I am at Hamilton Mountain West in Ontario Canada.

Ok. To be transparent, As an Amateur Radio Extra with 31 yrs behind me.I was a bit dubious. TV Yagis used to be like building the ISS and putting it on a pole. This little wonder uses loop directors and "fly swatter" corner reflectors. The rotation part is a bit lacking- the rotator box as no direction indicator, sometime even when you pick a direction, It may go opposite. Its like a 3 year old at the toy store, still beats the "Armstrong Method"! (Remember "Height makes might" The higher you can get the Antenna, The more channels you'll get. We are on the Jersey Shore, 65-70 miles from NYC. I can pick up most NYC and a bit of Philly (Go Birds!) and some of the digital stations. YMMV, but if you are like me, totally disgusted with Cable and frankly, Streaming is starting to suck as bad- (Thank God for Amazon), having a OTA Antenna makes perfect sense. If your ISP croaks, (and many are plain awful), you simply switch input to On the air and you have access to local channels, we also get some stations like ION, Nosey, a couple rerun stations, The "big 4" - NBC,CBS,ABC and Fox. some of the other digital channels can be a pleasant surprise! Paired it with a TV Mounting pole, I have to watch the antenna to be certain its pointing the right way, Point it where you get the most channels, and know you have a backup! As an Amateur Radio Operator, I have had Antenna's as simple as 100 feet of wire and tuner to Moxons and Yagis. some were trash. I learned you do get what you pay for. YOU WON't get fleeced on price, you will be pleased with the results. The most impressive part? THEY THOUGHT OF EVERYTHING! 50' OF RG-6, everthing you need is there. You"ll need some simple tools, they even included "zip ties". Simple,Lightweight,Inexpensive and 95% of folks won't need anything extra from a hardware store. Keeps you from being off line if a storm or your cable or streaming goes off. It's a big win for a small investment

Luv this antenna. I purchased the EXACT brand 4 years ago. It eventually wore out, of course, so i bought this new model. Bigger coaxel line and easy assemble. Step by step. It came with a J bar that i didnt use because this unit alone picked up ALL SIGNALS. 172 signals. Uhf, vhf..clear picture and a rotation unit with remote. I purchase 2 other antennas stating in door out door use and the were junk. I MOUNTED this on the existing roof pole. Perect. Five Star came thru perfectly. They stand by their products and truthful advertising. Thank u Five Star. I do not pay for cable tv..i don't need to and you saved me tons of money a month. GREAT PRODUCT!!

I bought this antenna to install in my attic getting ready to "cut the cord" from cable. I found several manufacture issues common with made in China products: (1) threads on U bolt were not cut clean so the nuts wouldn't screw on all the way to tighten it to the mast. I made a replacement out of some thread rod I had. (2 ) The button on the remote control continually stuck when pushing it. I was able to free it up by working with it and a little silicon lube (I probably won't use the remote once setup anyway). Issues which are caused by a lack of quality control. The light weight construction of the antenna would never survive the wind and ice of a typical winner where I live. Because I am mounting it in my attic it will be fine though. The rotor is ok for my needs to adjust it once and leave it set but if you lived in an area where it needed to rotate to point to different stations, not having an indicator to show the direction it is pointing and not being able to turn the direction needed would be an issue. It does seem to work as expected for what I need after fixing the issues I had. UPDATE: A couple of days later I noticed the red power light on the control module was no longer lighted but it still seemed to work. I called customer service and after a short explanation of the problem they agreed to send me a replacement control modular. I received it a few days later, however the input connector was broken off. again I call customer service explained the damage I found on the unit. They asked me to email a picture which I did and couple of days later I received another replacement. This time it worked fine. Very good customer service but issues with over all quality. UPDATE AGAIN The amplifier failed again 2 months out of warranty. Had to pay to get a replacement mailed. Fixed the problem but seems to me a quality control issue. Thinking of replacing with a different antenna. Too many problems.

I am an hour from Detroit in Ontario. The pictures are: Detroit 4 (NBC), Detroit 2 (Fox), Detroit 7 (ABC) and Windsor 16 (CTV) so you are able to see the clarity. Without moving the antenna; I get the above plus CBS and Global. I haven’t had time to look at the other channels. I know there are more channels because when it was scanning it showed a lot. I have a really old antenna attached to my house and I had the old antenna at the top cut off- then this antenna was installed at the top so it can move freely. I am glad I chose this and so far I haven’t had any issues.
