Alpine Upholstery Velvet Gold, Fabric by the Yard

This upholstery velvet was perfect for my purposes--making costumes for a high school play. It is not the type of velvet you would want to use for regular clothing. It was reasonably priced, generously cut, and delivered on time.

Good quality for the price. I made long 26x10 lumbar pillows for my Etsy shop. This fabric has no stretch, in case that's what you're expecting.

I do not know much about textiles or fabrics as my sewing skills are at the beginner level so it is difficult for me to review an item like this. I also bought this over a year ago, but did not get around to using it until now.I lined a box I was making with it. The fabric is thin, but it worked really well for my purpose. You get a lot of fabric for the price. The color is just beautiful.I gave the box away as a gift so I do not know how well the fabric holds up with usage. I was happy with my purchase.

I was a little nervous buying this fabric with out seeing it. I used it for a headboard that I made and it looks great. Nice service.

I took a pic the pic doesn’t do justice to the fabric it’s very soft and easy to work with. I got 2 yards of fabric. I messed up on measurements a few times but it came together nicely. I used this to replace the cushion on a chair.

Looks cheap, feels cheap, is cheap. It almost feels like felt rag, which I guess I could have imagined had I seen it was 100% polyester. Color isn’t pretty either but, again, this probably has to do with the nonexistent quality of the product. Oh, and it has “wrinkle” marks all over (from packaging) that I don’t think would go away by ironing. In a nutshell, not exactly what comes to mind when you think of velvet.

This product was described as white it is a off-white or a winter white
