CompTIA Server+ Study Guide: Exam SK0-005 (Sybex Study Guide)

This book helped me out to become into a Server+ Administrator. Thanks CompTIA.

This was a great guide for Server+. I used it in conjunction with the other Server+ guide from McGraw Hill. Both of them together were all that was needed to pass. This guide covered every objective and was easy to follow. The questions and practice tests were useful too. I had to deduct one star, because like others have said, there are quite a few typos, and also some questions were marked incorrect when they should be correct. Otherwise, it’s a great study tool, and I was able to pass the exam on my first try.

It's almost as though nobody edited or proofread this book. The section and paragraph headings are all the same size, or sometimes completely randomly sized, so it's hard to take notes, not fully knowing what bullets to put under what heading. There are a lot of typos as well. It ended up serving the purpose...I passed the Cert, but the book was a difficult read due to the formatting issues.

Just on ch1 and have already found numerous errors. Ignoring the spelling and grammatical errors within the reading content, there are errors within the review questions both online and in the book. Quality control is garbage, but the content seems to be solid so far. There are not many study options when it comes to this cert, so I'll take what I can get.

Too many errors throughout this book! Was it rushed to print without the editor properly reviewing it, is the editor incompetent, or did the author/publisher refuse to make the recommended fixes? It was difficult to ignore them due to the quantity and many of the errors skewed the meaning of what the author was attempting to convey. This should never have went to print like this.
