Saved the Day

Great for the money

Easy Solution to Holding My Boat to Trailer

A Little Pricey
I did not want to weld on my galvanized trailer so I bought these brackets to mount retractable Boat Buckle transom straps on my trailer. The bolts provided were too short for my application so I changed them out with some stainless steel ones and coated the bolts where they went through with anti-seize. The brackets worked out fine with the multiple choice of mounting holes. They only down fall is they are a bit pricey.

SO convienent
Attach them to the trailer: when it is time to load the boat pull the straps out and hook them to the transom eye bolts. Away you go. They don't fall off; they don't get lost. They are strong and durable (just lubricate with light machine oil in the fall.

I spent weeks looking for a tie-down that would shorten ...
I spent weeks looking for a tie-down that would shorten to just 19" between the transom hooks on my Sea-Doo Speedster boat and my trailer. All regular ratchet straps don't tighten with that short a gap, but the BoatBuckle Retractable Tie-Downs did the trick! And Universal Adapter made it possible to position the buckles away from my trailer tail-lights (there wasn't enough room between my tail light and the trailer mounting hook). The ONLY concern I had was that the adapter didn't come with the buckles for those of us who need it. It would have been a lot easier if I had a way of knowing the buckle couldn't be mounted with what room on the trailer I had available for it ahead of time.

Great addition to the Boat Buckle. It moved the webbing away from the transom which could have cut it.
