Looks professional even though it’s DIY
Easy to use and looks so good once done! It took three of us to put down two boxes in our two car garage. One to pour and two to spread the epoxy. Instantly transformed our garage and we get tons of compliments on it.

It Worked!
Applied the Tan "Epoxy-Shield" and the corresponding flake chips for the "base color coat".Wanted a final matte / satin floor finish appearance instead of the high gloss look, and it appeared the only option was to purchase this "Rock Solid" Clear Texture (Satin) and apply it over the Tan Epoxy Shield base.Called Rust Oleum Tech Support to see if the two different product materials (polyurea applied over cured epoxy) were compatible, and the representative assured me they were, and further told me to let the Epoxy Shield cure for 4 days, before applying the Rock Solid clear textured top coat.Initially I was getting concerned because it went on almost like the consistency of water and took several hours before it even started getting sticky / tacky. But, it finally set up rock hard after around 16 hours or so.It worked and am very happy with the results! The most difficult part of the application was seeing where the clear top coat was going / being rolled on, but a shop light to get a reflection worked well. While I purchased this 2.5 garage kit for a new 400 sq/ft craft room for my wife, only one bag in the kit was needed (which I'll be using when doing my new shop).P.S. when applying indoors, a respirator is highly recommended.

Roller Marks
I put down the dark gray Rocksolid Coating. It looked like a showroom floor job. I was thrilled with the results. I had a friend who said I need to top coat it with texture to make it non-slip. After letting it dry for 24 hours I applied the top coat. It looks terrible! I rolled over every area at least twice. You can see every brush stroke. The finish is inconsistent and makes the whole week long job look like a 5 year old applied it. I purchased 2 of the 2.5 dark gray kits and a single dark gray kit. I purchased 2 of the 2.5 textured top coat kits. I can’t believe how much this product destroyed all of my hard work and money. Do NOT Use!

Difficult to apply evenly, but durable
I used this over a double coat of Rock Solid metallic coating for a basement floor.PROS:Durability and adhesion of the product is good. It is quite resistant to scratches and damage, although it can still be scratched if heavy metal objects are dragged over it. It seems impervious to chemicals.CONS:It does not apply very evenly, even over a floor which was coated twice prior. The overall thickness of the coating is not very thick.

Adherance
Prep’d properly, but the bond lets go with the stress of jacking up a car. I strongly recommend using a sheet of steel or aluminum under a jack to spread the stress of a jack’s wheels.Very disappointing considering how expensive this stuff is

excellent quality
Excellent product, we applied the satin finish textured topcoat and it looks beautiful. Highly recommend: easy to apply, good directions. Applied over Rust-oleum primer, then RockSolid with paint sprinkles, then topcoat.

Nice
Used as a top coat for my garage floor, I used the textured clear and added anti-skid to prevent slipping. The key is to pour the mix into a bucket and mix the anti-skid before every pour. It took the sheen out from the 1st coat and appears to have provided a durable and attractive finish. But time will tell.

Awesome garage/shop coating for do it your self-ers!
Used to coat my new shop floor. This product is simple to apply and the finished product is superior for a do it your self-er. Be sure to use the citric acid etching powder and make certain you follow the prep/application instructions to the “T”. I also highly recommend buying extra silica sand to both pre mix and toss over the coating while it cures for added grip.
