Jumbo Easy Guitar Songbook (Easy Guitar with Notes & Tab)

Harder than expected: This Book borders in my opinion more intermediate than easy beginner. This in itself is not that bad but would have been nice to have about 50 single note single strings song for the beginner. Even single strings mixed with labeled basic chords would have been nice. Multiple finger placement and using uncommon chords (if try are chords) in my opinion requires at least a low immediate player. I can see myself advancing to the point where I will be able to play a lot of the songs, but some will take a lot longer to reach than other, a least at year for me. So nice book but stating easy songbook I think is bit misleading. However Good value for number of songs within.

I bought this is hard copy when I first started learning guitar 10 years ago. I refer to it every now and then becUse of the wide range if well known songs in an easy format. I bought this recent copy to our online and use my iPad. It’s a very think book but the online platform has a table of Contents to use to locate a song. It’s a fun book and a goo walk down memory lane as well

Unbelievable deal ! Arrived earlier than stated. The book was in perfect new condition except for a fold crease on the back cover lower corner. I saved about 75% by buying used and basically got a new book.

This book was in good condition as described. I ordered it for the format, melody line notation and tablature for guitar. My 12 year old sister is enjoying playing through the songs quickly and easily with only a little instruction in reading tab.

Great song book. That said it's only really good for beginners with an instructor. This does have easy to read tabs and chords, but no real notes on strumming or picking patterns that were easy to understand. With out some knowledge of notation (There are some very bare notations) an absolute beginner will struggle to play the songs as they should sound.That said I gave it 5 stars because it is really a jumbo book of 245 songs. Most of the songs are short enough to fit on one to two pages which makes it great to just open and play without worrying about flipping pages mid tune.

I tried to buy and use this book with the Kindle App on my iMac as I usually play my guitar sitting in front of my computer. However, the book is not formatted properly and is completely useless. The titles show up at the bottom of the previous page and you are left with pages of music with no title. If you try to change the font size the app just moves the text blocks around so that you end up with the copyright information at the top of the page of music and still no title. I called Amazon for help and the customer service agent was completely useless - asking me to uninstall and reinstall the app even though I never had it on my computer until I downloaded it to view this book. (I don't even know how to uninstall it and he was of no help there either.) I finally just asked for my money back as this was a completely worthless endeavor and I will buy the hardcopy book from someone else (NOT Amazon).

This book was purchased to use with a neighbor who was just learning to play the guitar. There are a lot of easy songs and some that a a little more challenging. It has a great variety of songs for everyone and every occasion. Hal Leonard does so many books it's hard not to say good things. They have been doing it so long they have it down to a science.Would say this is for a beginner as well as more advanced players. It also helps that it's printed in big format so one doesn't have to squint to see the notes and chords. If you're looking for an all-around songbook for guitar this is the one to buy.

Ok little book for a begginner with single strum tabs and a couple of string chords chucked in here and there its a good little practice book to get ye larl sausage fingers dancing round the frets and playing a larl noise what resembles a song..git on it and just buy it you obviously want to thats why you are reading this .

Kindle layout not brilliant as it loses resolution when trying to view single large sheets. Probably Kindle is the problem.

Lots of songs, some I know, some I do not and some I think I should no. No rock or pop songs. Good tab.

Just what I wanted for practising my Guitar. Good variety of songs.

I've purchased around 20 beginner tab books - this is by far the best, incredible, just perfect in every way.I have made a YouTube playlist of most of the songs to help with timing when playing.
