Pendaflex Portable File Box, Granite, 11" H x 14" W x 6-1/2" D (41737)

I had to buy this for one of my college classes. It's lockable, functional, ease to open and secure, and sturdy.

I started my own LLC and this is great for storing the few bits of paperwork I need to. Maybe someday I'll graduate to a larger one! :)The hinge is very tight so when you open it half way it stays in that position and will not slam shut. The locking bit is nice for carrying it around. Wish they would have included a few more hanging files in it.

Overall it was what I wanted but I was disappointed when they had the latch taped down with packing tape and when I was peeling the tape off it broke the latch so just a heads up if you order one be super super careful taking the tape off because I was just super careful

I recently went through my desk drawer files and sorted important docs that I needed to keep at hand at all times & documents I rarely needed to reference. This file box was the perfect size to store the most important documents. The construction is good, including the lock and handle which are constantly in motion. This is great for traveling files too.TIP 1: Purchase 2 of these. One to store the most important personal documents & another for your most important business/work reference documents.TIP 2: Place documents you rarely reference in a banker's box. That is a much less expensive storage option, and they stack well in a garage or storage area.

I was looking for something to file certain files for the year such as medical receipts, and files that I will need at the end of the year for income tax purposes. This file box is the perfect size for what I needed as well as being very light in weight. I know there were a number of reviews that rated this item in the one to four star category. Their reviews for their purposes was probably correct for their circumstances. If a small file box is needed to just keep files organized for a year as I described above would be perfect.

My pseudo daughter us teaching in a foreign country for 3 years. We had a "moment" when she couldn't find her Passport and Visa. So I ordered this for her to keep her teaching contract, passport, car insurance etc in. No more stress!

The back of the item I received was bowed in and makes it hold less files.

I have to say this is absolutely perfect for what I needed it for. I do bookkeeping for small businesses and don't really have the room in my house for a full sized filing cabinet. With this I can keep the information I need from sales taxes paid and the likes organized and this just fits under my office desk when not in use. It is a very study plastic and locks down well for easy transport if needed. It is small but roomy and nicely slim to not take up so much space.
