Good
If you didn't like the movie like I did, this is a must-read. It gives you a new perspective, and I can't wait to rewatch the movie because now I know I will like it.

Great Read
If you are looking for this book to change your mind because you thoroughly hate the movie, save your time, money, and breath. For those intrigued or maybe feeling on the fence about the movie and you enjoy a fun read, the book is a good companion piece because it adds more layers to the characters and fills in holes (part plot, part emotions, part history). The way it was written was simple yet engaging like someone telling a story so it was quick to run through.BTW: The Untitled chapter was not an error because it was slapped together to rush the book to print. To me, it reads as if it’s coming from Laurie’s POV of writing chapter in her book which is untitled.

I liked it!
I did like ‘Halloween Ends’ despite the backlash by a lot of fans and to a point I can understand. However, I think the book might explain the story better than the movie. A good read!

Not bad
Too bad the movie wasn’t like the book. The book is 10 times better.

Great book
Paul Brad Logan is a great author. I read his two other books, "Hallelujah!" And "Goodbye Horses " after reading HEnds. I cannot wait to support him in the future, when (if) he decides to publish again.

Better Than The Movie
I wish this was the movie instead of the one we got. This isn't just a written copy of the movie. It adds so much more with more character development and context to the movie. I wasn't a big fan of the film, but this book is a different story. If you want to find out more and see more of Michael too, this is the book to get. I read it in a day, it's excellent.

Content That Was Needed
Great content in the book that would make the movie better, but it is still the same story unfortunately. Written like you have already seen the movie. There was no description of the characters. The writing was disjointed and sometimes just not that good. But, it the story kept your attention and the added kills and scenes made it more interesting.

Great read for skeptical movie watchers
Spoilers ahead: Before watching Ends, I considered myself a Halloween-purist. After watching in theaters, the “shock” of Ends being so different than previous films quickly wore off and I was able to enjoy the film for what it was, and not what I expected it to be. The novel adds to the lore and gives readers details not seen in the film! The author (also a credited writer for the film) helps to fill gaps seen in the movie, such as the transfer of darkness, infection of the town, more examples of The Shape’s intrigue with reflections, and more Dr. Loomis flashbacks. I consider the explanations to be subtle, which as a purist I expect and appreciate. Give the novel a try, you might find a new appreciation for the movie!

No way, just... no.
I’ve been so excited about this since Kills came out last year, or even since the trilogy started in 2018! I pre-ordered it on Kindle back in April! I’m very sorry to say, today when the release date finally came, I was left feeling so sad and very disappointed. If this is the end, it’s a terrible anti-climax. The novel only had 2 quotes that I really liked. “Imagine if Laurie and Michael Myers had fallen in love and were together, can you imagine?” and “Alexa, music off.” That’s it. Also the stupid theory that Laurie rejected Michael’s advances until he snapped. Great food for us Fanfiction writers though! I want to be careful writing this for two reasons Firstly so as not to spoil it for you reading this, or considering doing so, second however, so it doesn't descend into a rant. Firstly, for the last 40 years, it's been Michael Myers, and Michael Myers only. You can't just bring a new protagonist in to replace him like that! The ending just left me speechless. After all Laurie went through, there is no way she would even consider that! After everything since 1978, her whole shut down due to fear and her house modifications? You're kidding me! I think this was a case of Michael killed everyone in Halloween kills, so there was no one left and the directors had to work with what they had, as well as introducing new characters. Now I'm all for new characters, but for them to dominate the plot like that? All we saw was a controlling mother, and a pointless love story. Alison to me, slipped back into naive teenager mode. Laurie's memoirs were interesting, which made the end even more unbelievable. Michael Myers will always be my favourite horror character and after this I'm disgusted! Michael Myers, we love you. Just some advice, if you want to remember Michael Myers as he should be, I really wouldn't read this book! I am not going to see the film of this… left a bad taste in my mouth. Sorry Green, total failure here.

The End of it All
I’ve been waiting in anticipation to read this since I pre-ordered it. I’ve been an avid fan of the original two films since I was a young teen. The release of Halloween (2018) re-wrote the storyline after the original 1978 film, removing the original Halloween II and subsequent movies from the Michael Myers timeline. Now the “canon” is Halloween (1978), Halloween (2018), Halloween Kills (2021) and this one, Halloween Ends (2022).Not wanting to give any spoilers, the way Michael is disposed of at the end of this book (I’ve not seen the movie yet) seemed the only logical way to end him.The Halloween Ends story is a good one, though I did feel some disappointment with the sub-plot. One mystery remains, and that is why Michael became the way he did, starting from the age of six. Perhaps a prequel could one day be written explaining this.I think Halloween fans will like this book/movie. I certainly enjoyed the new canon. I think it was time to end this series. Hopefully most will be happy with how it all finishes. The book is well-written and is, on the whole, fast-paced, though it did start to slow in the middle. However, it soon picked up pace again.Goodbye Michael.

Very good tie-in novelisation
Coming from someone who liked the film, I’ve to get it. I read two other films that have been novelised before and liked them. Even this time, this was written by one of the film's writers. So reading it was a different experience. Much like the film is based on, it was different to the last films beforehand, yet this novel explores deeper. Not just the film itself but the whole timeline in this DGG/Blumhouse timeline, where there are some parts of history we never saw. That was pretty cool and contextualised certain established things throughout the trilogy. But it also ties the other two novels in a bow. That, to me, feels rewarding if you read them. It was a very satisfying experience coming across those moments I recognised from them.

Halloween Ends
This is what we wanted from the film. Obviously the story they had here was too big for a 2 hour movie, so cuts had to be made, but I’m glad this book went to the places it did without just being a page-to-screen copy.
