Price is perfect for a durable wooden bat, no need to splurge (28 inch)
::Starting off with this:: Wooden bats can (and will) break easier than a metal or composite bat, its just a fact of wooden bats. One wrong swing on an inside pitch/hit on the handle and it can be firewood. That being said, this bat is super affordable, durable, and looks decent too. We will be getting another if it happens to break this seasonI bought this for my sons last fall season of 7/8 coach pitch (Fall 2024), just to change things up for him. He's getting hits in games, practice, and at home on the tee. This bat has gone through the wringer and came out ready for more on the other side.Realistically, this bat has probably gone through 300-400 hits, and however many fouls/tips, with no issue by my son and an extra kid or two on his team that wants to try a wooden bat for once. Its 28" long, is approximately a drop 5 (making it heavier than standard youth composite/1 piece bats), so my son had some initial adjustment time to it.It comes with no grip so be sure to grab some before swinging, wood bats are relatively slick (even with batting gloves and no grip).30$ for a kids wood bat? Can't beat that. Solid choice for anyone playing ball for a while, or just trying one out for the first time

The Bat That Survived Summer - And Then Some!
When our son’s best friend, let's call him “The Energizer Bunny in Cleats,” showed up on the first day of summer and just sort of, well, never left, we knew we'd need reinforcements. So, we got him the Louisville Slugger Youth Genuine Y125 Natural-Black Baseball Bat.This dude, all 180 pounds of scrappy, baseball-loving energy, tried using my cherished, one-of-a-kind, money-signed Yasiel Puig bat. It was a close call when he almost stepped up to the plate with it! That’s when we decided it was high time to get him his own wooden beast to swing. We handed over this sleek, natural-black beauty to our little Mexican dynamo, and boy, did he make it his own. First thing he does? Slathers it in pine tar like it’s a BBQ and goes to town. But hey, it worked magic – he clobbered 34 home runs in our local derby (we're talking old-school head-to-head rules, none of this new-fangled stuff).Pros:1. **Durability:** If it can survive this hyperactive teenager's non-stop summer antics, it can survive anything.2. **Performance:** Clearly, 34 home runs don't lie.3. **Versatility:** Perfect for home run derbies, backyard games, and apparently, pretending to be a Major Leaguer.Cons:1. **Pine Tar Magnet:** Prepare yourself – this bat will get sticky.2. **Might Attract Energetic Teens:** Warning – providing this bat may result in structurally impossible summers where guests overstay their welcome. All in all, if you need a bat that can handle the whirlwind of summer, keep your sacred memorabilia safe, and transform an enthusiastic player into a home run champ, the Louisville Slugger Youth Genuine Y125 has got your back – and then some!

Amazing bat . Ordered it because we had a wood bat tournament. My son said it was a little heavy but he smash balls with it.

Solid
Good solid bat for my 9yr old to use with his weighted balls and swinging practice

Good value
I wanted to get my son the feel for using a heavier bat over his drop 10 bat. This Louisville slugger serves the purpose well. It has held up after a few hundred swings. My only complaint is the wood is somewhat rough. I eventually added a lizard skin grip to make it more comfortable. With the added grip the bat is very useable. Still, it’s a very affordable bat and good value.

Great practice bat
AAA baseball this year and son has been using this bat for practice. It has helped a lot. Hit 2 grand slams yesterday. Can genuinely say this bat had something to do with it as he practices with this bat all the time. Given we live in a cooler climate baseball is not a year round sport. So this is nice to have to get him refreshed for the baseball season.

Broke after 1 game
Loved the color and style but didn't last. My son broke it while hitting a few balls with just his Dad at the park. Very upset that this much money was spent and didn't last the season.

Broken within a week
My son used this to practice his swing and hit off his tee. One solid hit from an actual pitch and it snapped.
