Cheap price, cheaply made, but would buy again.
I was ticked at first when I saw an edge came broken, basically splintered apart. Then I thought about how cheap it was, and couldn’t blame anybody but myself.Do NOT spend more than $30-35 on this. If the price goes up, it’s not worth it.Given my few options, my lack of motivation and skill to go build my own from scratch, and knowing it’s lightweight chickens using this, I continued assembling. It was very easy, though annoying. The pre-drilled holes which do exist are not all lined up. I posted a picture of bulging splintered wood from where we screwed it in, and a beautiful non-bulging photo to show some of them worked fine!We decided to reinforce some parts with tape, I decided to add a backing of cardboard from the packaging to give the birds more privacy and covered it completely with tape to make it resistant to poop which will inevitably come down on it until we place bird spikes on the top. They will roost on this!5-10 minute assembly still, even if you’re taping the crap out of it. A place to lay eggs, cheap price, couldn’t have expected much better. The ruggegg Triplex nesting box is definitely better if you’ve got the money to pay more than double this. We needed six nesting boxes, so we have that one under this one. We got it in person for $49, but on Amazon, it’s over $70.Good luck!

Nice chicken coop laying boxes.
The media could not be loaded. All parts and screws came in the box. Easy to follow instructions and easy assembly. Each box is approximately 12 inches. Not heavy duty wood but will work in the chicken coop just fine. You get what you pay for and this is an easy and cheap way to have you hens laying eggs.

Not worth the money but functional
It gets the job done if you’re needing quick and cheap but if you can buy the metal higher quality ones, do so. It broke trying to slide the first two pieces into place and I had to use wood glue and masking tape to hold this crap together. It doesn’t line up very well and the top part looked pretty crooked. Good size for three boxes. That’s the only good part. Had a heck of a time getting the screws in and it was just easier to hammer them in after securing two with a screwdriver. Can’t use the drill or it will splice the wood. I’d- at best -pay maybe $15 for this. Still functional but cheap material. Lets see if it holds up outside.

It's a good value for what it is
I have single nest boxes from the same company and they have held up just fine over 2 years. I use them indoors - in a coop. This is not outdoor rated wood so if you purchase them for anywhere they will be exposed to weather, they aren't going to hold up like you want. Understand that before you buy.I read the other reviews and I did have a couple issues. One side panel came broken where it attached in the back. Simple fix - I glued it. In fact, I glued all the corners for security. It seems solid enough for what it will be used for. I also had one screw sort of split the wood, even though I put them in slowly. Glue.I have a single one in my grow out now, just so the babies will have a place to curl up and they jump on top of it - it's fine. For the price, you can't beat it. I was looking at ones twice the cost but I don't need a roof or for it to come off the ground. These work in a coop.

Good for the Price
Solid product. I built our first row of nesting boxes and knew I really didn’t want to do it again. Yes, this is plywood, but put together it’s fairly solid. I would order it again, no hesitation. Took 5 min to put together.Update: March 2023It completely fell apart 😭. The bottom gave out and one part of the top fell apart. It lasted through a Minnesota winter, but really it only lasted a few months in use.

Simple Construction
Given that it's made from luan and very cheap, it went together very easy. I would suggest using carpenters glue or on each mortise and tenon to lock it together as I had to. As far as the screws if you keep them perfectly vertical, then no splitting or breaking out through the sides occur, but you don't get much material or any second chances if you do. Overall not worth the money paid, but did go together in 10 minutes. Would suggest painting them to seal the wood as this type of wood is not moisture friendly. Added two extra screws to hold the bottom to the dividers for extra support and tighten the assembly up.

Wood Glue Necessary
I have 5 hens so purchased two of these as it didn't seem like an expensive option since trying to buy and make my own (in my mind) would have consumed more time, money and energy than I cared to invest. Both pieces were of similar quality and required mending with wood glue. The assembly was not difficult but even with extreme care and ease, the wood would split and the sheets of plywood these nesting boxes are constructed out of separated. This happened for both pieces ordered and affected multiple areas. Seems to be that the dovetail joints were too tight for the thickness/thinness of the plywood. Although the wood pieces were not finished, it was entirely smooth and ready to add to the coop once assembled, no painting or sanding necessary which is definitely a plus. From afar, the entire piece looks good but is definitely a stationary piece that shouldn't be moved or weight bearing - a flat, stable surface is best. If looking for high quality, this would not be a top suggestion but if just looking for a piece to add to a coop, definitely worth the consideration. Not of the best build or material but perhaps among the more affordable options. Just be sure to have access to wood glue and clamps. Had it not required all the mending (and subsequent waiting for glue to try), definitely would have had a higher rating.

Great Value, Easy to Customize
This nesting box is wonderful! It was easy to paint / customize because all of the parts can disassembled. The pieces are made of bare wood, so I would recommend painting or sealing them some way so that they don't absorb odors or feces. Overall it was sturdy and easy to assemble, and great value for the price!
