Great phone for less than a hundred bucks

Was a little bit leery because some of the reviews said the battery wouldn't charge I think that's because of the USB C cable mine charges fine. it look like it was brand new until I had a screwdriver in my back pocket and cracked the screen but it's still a fine phone especially or what I paid. Definitely Rivals a Samsung probably not quite as good but I like the way this one is set up better than a Samsung but that's me

Cost Effective Upgrade

I bought this phone as a replacement for a Nexus 5X (also made by LG) phone I've had for close to two years. I usually prefer Google's phones because they are unlocked, get updates quick, and have only the standard Android apps to start out. This one is tied to T-Mobile but was cheaper than the unlocked version and I don't foresee changing my service provider. Also, Google has moved its Pixel phones upmarket so LG's previous flagship (before the G6) suits me fine.Besides the price the two things that interested me about this phone over the 5X is double the memory (4G) and a higher resolution display. The phone boots faster and does have a better looking display. It also seems to have a longer interval between battery charges although I did no true measurements. Maybe the battery was getting old in the 5X. There are some drawbacks that prevented a 5 star rating. It's only using Android Nougat 7.0 so it's behind the curve there. The 5X was already up to Oreo. Not sure that's going to be a big deal but I hope security releases are prompt. Also, I'm having a hard time releasing the catch that slides out the battery.

Very clear that it's used

Yes it was delivered fine everything looks fine excepts for a couple minor things like a few scratches by the charging port and also the screen is actually pretty loose and will probably fall out at some point if I didn't need a phone rn I would return it and get my money backIt was suppose to be inspected but I guess they missed the key component that makes this phone operational not sure if anyone has had this same problemOther than that the phone is fine works fine sometimes the screen protector is laggy and not responsive

Edge Cellular Sells Broken Phones

I purchased an LG G5 from Edge Cellular and it stopped working within 5 days. It got VERY hot while charging with the included 3rd party charger, like dangerously hot then never worked again. I returned it and got a new one, though nobody at Edge Cellular seemed to be alarmed that the phone got hot enough to potentially explode or catch fire. The second phone's SIM card slot did not detect my SIM. I confirmed the SIM card was functional by testing it in another phone. When I contacted Edge Cellular they insisted that I send the phone directly to them for repairs instead of getting a refund. They kept the phone for several days, then returned it without fixing anything, stating it was broken. The phone was obviously broken which is why I sent it to them in the first place! They kept the phone long enough that I'm now unable to return the phone via Amazon's return policy and they don't seem to care at all. I see some people are satisfied with their purchase from Edge Cellular but obviously their quality assurance and customer support leaves a lot to be desired.

great quality!

My current g5 is very scratched up from use and some of the physical buttons on it no longer work. This is a replacement and it is in excellent condition for being lightly used. Screen has no marks, the camera works well, and my sim card was recognized. Thank you very much! Shipped very quickly.

THIS IS A GREAT PHONE--THAT DOES NOT WORK

Let me begin by stating off the bat that I have a definite bias when it comes to LG phones--specifically, the G-series phones. My first major Android Smart Phone purchase was for the LG G3 via AT&T. It was markedly better than the G2, and I liked it so much, in fact, that when I cracked the screen on it, I had it replaced with an identical G3. And then ONE MONTH LATER, since I had already used my insurance, I decided to buy ANOTHER G3 via Amazon, which turned out to be a great decision. So, when I saw a used, refurbished T-Mobile LG G5 for just under $70.00, naturally I jumped at the opportunity to purchase it to replace my current T-mobile LG Optimus L90. I ordered it and waited. Then the misery started. When you get a new phone, just like a toy, all you want to do is PLAY with it. I'll tell you right now--that DID NOT HAPPEN. In fact, it was just MISERABLE, from the moment I opened the box.First of all, there are some components that you need in order to be able to correctly install software and hardware to operate a smart phone properly. One of the more mundane--and often overlooked in importance--is the EJECTION PIN. In the LG G5, in order to install your SIM card andMicroSD properly, you have to remove a small tray on the side of the phone and carefully install the SIM and SD card before replacing the tray. The problem is, the only way to access this tray is to insert the pin into the small hole of the tray to unlock it and pop it out. Without the pin, its not impossible to access--just very difficult.Hoping that that was the only stumbling block, still excited, I eagerly set up the USB charger to charge my phone and turn it on. This, however, proved to be the worst problem of all--instead of being greeted by a battery charge percentage, I was greeted by an image of two batteries, one with the LG Logo (a valid battery) and one with NO LOGO--an INVALID battery. To further confirm my fear, after powering the phone on, within 30 seconds it abruptly informs me "Invalid Battery" and powers off. Furthermore, when I physically examined the battery, while appearing to be in good condition, I noticed that the date of manufacture for the battery was APRIL 22ND, 2016--NEARLY 3 YEARS AGO.So now I have a beautiful LG G5 that I cannot use or enjoy, because the seller apparently failed to check (or replace, more likely) a battery that was OBVIOUSLY AND BLATENTLY FAULTY if they had just taken 5 minutes of their time to even ATTEMPT to charge it or power on the device. To make me even MORE ANGRY, it turns out the invalid battery issue is a fairly common one...in other words, by simply changing out the battery, this bs could have been avoided, and I would have a working LG G5 that I could be enjoying.........BUT IM NOT

I love it! Perfect all around!

I love this phone! It does and has everything I want/need. Very happy with the shipping and price also. Came in perfect condition, is built strong. Usually I crack a screen within the first few months haha, but this one doesn't even have a scratch. I will have this LG G5 for a long time! It is the most perfect smart phone I have ever had!
