I had one years ago, loved it. But it stopped functioning, I was unable to find another. Until now! If you are making ANYTHING that requires constant stirring, you will want this. Make sure your pot is round. Fabulous product!!

Says it’s good for soups and sauces but if you have anything in the pot besides liquid it will not move around might be good for gravy that’s about it save your money do not buy this I wish I could return mine didn’t open it right away so that’s my fault

Let me say for starters that I bought this for help cooking down freshly pressed tomatoes at end of season. For that it was perfect. Ran all day on a set of batteries, I had rechargeables so I was able to keep swapping batteries out throughout my several day process. This thing kept working for three or four full days of cooking down tomatoes. Really made a huge difference in the quality of the sauce.I know some people have talked about how it didn't last in that long, and indeed on the last day it started kind of squeaking a bit. Of course, using it to mix a thicker barbecue sauce as I was making that didn't help because it really did not want to move its way through a thicker sauce.As far as the squeaking, well really this thing is similar to a motor that vibrates your phone. It's a DC motor with an offset weight that causes it to vibrate, which results in the stirring action. Well, if you know much about motors, you will know that running something offset like that can be very difficult on the spindle. That's just a fact. So don't expect this thing to run forever because just like any other motor that runs based on imbalance, there are bound to be a few problems. However, for what I needed it for, it worked just right.Now I mentioned the squeak. I unscrewed the base and pulled out the motor and put a little tri-flow on the motor shaft and the squeak went away. I have no doubt that the original DC motor either wasn't properly lubricated or the lubricant works its way out because of the imbalance. But hey, if you can take this thing apart and throw a little oil in there now and again, maybe it will last a little longer. Not sure since I haven't had it long enough, but it worked for me.

So easy to use and works perfectly! I wish I had bought it months ago when I first saw it. No more standing over the pot stirring, WIN!

So I got this product to make a Dark Roux. Making a Dark Roux takes like 25 mins of just standing over a pot and stirring. This product did amazing in the middle of the roux I did not however do well on the sides of the pot. For my application I needed it to dance around the pot more. It works just not how I needed it to work. I think it is fine for like tomato sauce or something.

I recently purchased the Stirr automatic pan stirrer, and while it has some positive aspects, my overall experience has been disappointing.The stirrer does function well on its own; however, when I used it in my soup, I encountered a significant issue. As the soup thickened, the stirrer struggled to move and ended up sticking in one place, simply making noise without effectively stirring the ingredients.Unfortunately, this has left me unhappy with my purchase, as it did not meet my expectations for versatility in different cooking scenarios.

Very useful for light stirring like making oatmeal or reducing a liquid to make a sauce and a great conversation starter.Not intended for thick and heavy stirring.
