I absolutely love the Reef Fish series and this one was no exception. My husband and I consider them a requirement for a diving vacation to be complete. Our goal is to check off as many of these fish as we can see in our lives. The photos are gorgeous and because the fish our groups by shape, they are very easy to identify. This book is a must for avid wildlife vacationers!

Wonderful resource, as are all the Reef series books. Was diving in Baja California Sur for the first time and it was great to meet “new to me” fish. This book helped me identify all the new varieties!

The REEF FISH series is an excellent quick fish identification resource for divers, anglers, and ichthyology field work. This one focuses on Pacific fish in the tropical band to Panama and Sea of Cortez, with Spanish common names along with the English names. Always good pictures make finding that odd catch easier.

This book, like all publications from these guys, is a fairly comprehensive field guide for marine species in the region, including some notes about behaviors and ranges of habitation. However, I continue to struggle with its non-scientific arrangement, where species are lumped together according to their morphology (i.e., "large bodies with fat lips"). It may be an easy way for the novice to locate something he/she has seen underwater, based upon physical characteristics, but it doesn't necessarily work well for the more advanced user. Nonetheless, I bought it, knowing what to expect, and it's worth the money.

This is not for instant reference. This is for serious study. I wanted to learn about these fish, & I think the book is wonderful.

This whole series of Fish Identification is the best I have ever seen. Easy to use and exceptionally informative.

Took this scuba diving in San Carlos and my son had a blast identifying the fish we had seen. The way the book is organized makes it very easy to use.

great resource for divers. I was able to identify all the fish I saw in Los Cabos, Mexico. I wish there was one for the reef creatures like there are for other places.

We wanted a book with good pictures in it so we could look up the various fishes that we found in the waters around Puerto Vallarta. Our Divemaster recommended this book and we are extremely happy with it. Great pictures, and well organized.

Los fotos son muy claras. Es mas facile de usar. Hay pocos libros buenos sobre de peces en el Mar de Cortez, pero este es el debe tener.

Mi libro llego antes de lo esperado en perfectas condiciones. Es el mejor libro para identificación de especies, super completo. Mi parte favorita es que los nombres comunes vienen en español y la descripción en ingles, super útil para identificar peces difíciles!

Going to Baja soon and very excited about using this book to accurately identify the fish I see snorkelling and swimming!
