Hodedah 2 Door Wardrobe with Adjustable/Removable Shelves & Hanging Rod, Cherry

Ordered this wardrobe for extra storage in my spa office. I was worried after reading some of the other reviews that the cabinet would show up shattered and that sending it back was going to be hell. The only dings on this cabinet are the ones I made while putting it together by myself. Took me about 2 1/2 hour, it wasn't that hard but and an extra set of hands would have been helpful. I have two kitchen islands also chocolate in colour waiting to be put together. Hope they match. I do wish it came in two boxes, easier to move.

It has been a nightmare dealing with these closets. The boxes arrived open and a broken piece fell out as soon as I tried pulling out the parts. I figured it wasn’t a major piece and could probably still salvage the purchase but there holes missing where screws needed to go and the directions were impossible to read! The material is pressed wood and didn’t seem like it was going to go for the long haul. I finally decided to return the closet only to find out that I would have to pay $300 for shipping if I wanted to return the product. Needless to say, I’m stuck with two of these because it’s cheaper than returning them!! 😣😣😣

This product was more than what I thought. I did not ihave a closet at my new home and this wardrobe was more than enough space. It really holds more than what you expect. It’s mesh wood, so be careful hammering. I highly recommend this product. I will be ordering another one

When I first opened the box I was excited it looked nice and durable and easy to assemble. I have little knowledge about putting big furniture together but everything was labeled matching to its tools. Directions were included and clear to read but it took me two hours and calling for help to assemble. A month following assebly the cabinet door has fallen lose and screw has been striped it’s a cabinet we used for everyday use and there is not what it should be used for. Overall, it looks nice but I wouldn’t buy again. More than likely it’s just because buyer error but it was challenging for my help as well.

The problem is not with the wardrobe but in the packaging. I received one that was damaged so I sent it back and got another one that had almost the exact same damage. Corners damaged and the strip that was stapled to one of the doors (I believe it was the left door) was torn loose and one was cracked in the middle and one was in 2 pieces. I sent it back also and received a refund. I went with another manufacturer. The Hodedah has the best features that would work best form our use but it was not worth the time to keep sending it back and forth. We needed one (affordable) that would let church vestments hang all the way out. They needed to hang the whole length of the wardrobe. The adjustable hanging rod would have allowed that to happen.

For the price point I wasn’t expecting much. My plan was to use this as overflow clothing storage in my basement so I didn’t need it to look amazing. But boy do you get what you pay for. First putting this together was a pain in the butt. It is not IKEA engineering, it is far more difficult than it needs to be. Lining up all the pieces onto the dowels is practically impossible especially if you’re working on a not totally even floor. Pro tip, assemble one piece at a time and then put in the screws which is actually several steps ahead on the directions to hold it in place. The most disappointing thing for me is that it’s not deep enough to hold an adult size shirt. I would need to buy children’s hangers in order to fit clothing on the rod and then close the doors of the wardrobe. As you can see in my pictures I’m actually just leaving the doors off for now. I guess I’ll suit my purpose but man it’s kind of ugly. Next time I’ll pay more for IKEA.

This product is study, well made and easy to assemble, however do not expect your clothing to fit inside. My suits that I’ve placed in this will not allow the door to fully close. Regular sized hangars will not fit inside of this, baby hangars will fit though. Upon receipt, the Rod advertised with this item did not come with. I received a refund and bought something as close to the original as possible. 3 out of 5 stars have been given since it is sturdy and well made but the fact that my clothes don’t fit really bug me.
