Sleek look and great safety
After researching a good helmet for e-biking, it was recommended that a regular bicycle helmet over a motocross/ motorcycle helmet due to the types of falls being more suited to MIPS protection and better visibility. I came across this because it has mips protection, which is excellent for protection from rotational forces, which are the most likely forces to be produced from hitting your head on a bike. It has a nice, inconspicuous/ modern look without compromising safety or comfort. It has fewer holes than most bike helmets I have seen, which could lower the functionality of those who need extra cooling for serious bike riding. The battery is not rechargeable, which is a bit disappointing to me. Hopefully, a newer model will come out to address that part. This helmet is otherwise an overall good product.

Perfect fit
Purchased the Caden II in Portaro Grey. Bought a large for MIPS protection on my big head and this adjustable helmet fits perfectly. Bike helmets look dorky on your head anyway but I will wear this one. Happy cycling!!

Love the helmet! Wish we had more options in Australia!
Absolutely love this helmet. I tried one on at a local bike shop and was immediately keen but they only had black. I was wanting a colour more visible, so they had a look in their systems. Turns out all Giro helmets in Australia come in black only. If you want one that isn't black, you have to order direct from overseas (which is what I did).Love your helmets, Giro, but please consider speaking with your Aust. suppliers and encouraging some more colour options.

Giro bike helmet
Great helmet. Comfortable. Only down side is the visor fell off a couple days after I got it. Glued it back on.

LED [rear] light needs batteries!!!
LED [rear] light needs batteries!!! Product description does NOT tell you this, if you are going to use it often, you know that batteries will start costing you (FYI it takes 2x CR2032 3 Volt Lithium Coin Cell Battery). This is a MASSIVE oversight from Giro when 99% of the rest of the cycling world uses rechargeable batteries (and have since USB Mini-B). If you NEED a built in LED MIPS helmet, get the BELL Daily MIPS LED as it can be re-charge with USB; however, it's bulbous and looks like the alien spandex crowds version of a commuter helmet. Now, the rest of the review. Urban/commuter/sleek look, not some alien nonsense the spandex road bikers like to wear).Roc Loc City MIPS fit system is on point.Very comfortable.LightweightGood airflow (even tho it looks like it wouldn't.Again, if you don't need the light, get the Giro Caden MIPS and save a few bucks.Happy cycling!
