More often than not, you get a sense for the quality of the product by the packaging used by the manufacturer to get it to you without any damage from being banged around during shipping. Being somewhat of a packaging nut when shipping stuff, I was pleasantly surprised by the sturdy shipping containers these were packed in (not talking about the Amazon packs (they're usually adequate). More pleasant surprises as the box was opened when the internal packing was exposed. The dome shaped glass was completely protected from damage and the other parts. In short, all the components were carefully packed and in perfect condition. Once every component was unpacked and checked against the parts list, it was time to turn off the circuit breaker for this light, take the old fixture down, and install the new fixture. All parts fit well and the finished installation was really good looking.My only nit to pick is that the installation sheet was difficult to read due to very light printing density and small print. Having installed this type of fixture before helped me because it's important to put the flexible (soft plastic) washer between the glass dome and the steel washer when installing the glass dome over the threaded rod. Also, do not tighten the intermediate nut too tight against the steel washer. Tighten until some initial resistance is felt. Make sure the dome is centered on the brushed aluminum mounting fixture and then tighten the nut just enough to keep the dome snugly in position. Add the decorative washer and nut. You're done! Oops! Did you install and test your bulbs before putting the dome on??

I bought two of these to replace the extremely outdated 1970s light fixtures in my two hallways. The instructions are just one expanded view picture but it was easy to follow. I have replaced light fixtures before so it was simple to install. The only frustration I had was the installation was so thick that is was a challenge to find the screws. I installed both in less that 20 min. They are two bulb fixtures, but I only installed one bulb each because I didn't like the brightness of having two installed. I use Hue Lux bulbs for so all of my lighting is controlled by my phone or Alexa. I like the looks of these some much I ordered the 3 bulb version to replace the ugly chandelier in my office. If my wife likes them I am going to order more of them to update the rest of the house also. They do not look cheep at all and the frosted glass is very nice. I was worried about shipping them but they were well packed. I almost forgot Mine only came with the two long screws to mount the fixture to the plate, I had to supply my own screws to attach the plate to the ceiling box.

I bought this light to replace an old, worn out looking brass light in my travel trailer. The fixture seems to be made very well, and the finish on it is very nice. Installation on these is pretty simple, even while having to bend over to add this on my dinette. Very good price for the size.

I love the brushed nickel finish and the frosted dome - very attractive. And the light bulbs illuminate well through the dome. Many other 2-bulb fixtures have 60-watt bulb maximums; this one uses 75-watt bulbs. The one good-sized knob for removing the dome is a big improvement over my prior (very old) fixture that had three tiny screws. Works well with the dimmer switch I had. Much nicer than what I saw at the box stores and at a better price.

Love these lights! I bought 3 of them. We were changing out our brass hallway lights and laundry room. They were perfect and look good with good lighting also. My only complaint is that each light all were missing the 2 cap nuts that held the light fixture to the ceiling. However, it did have the cap nut that held the globe on. I took the advice of a previous review and put the rubber washer on the under side of globe so that it was against the glass. I just ended up using my old cap nuts from the lights I was taking down since these nuts do not show. Other than that - I LOVE the lights and so does my husband.

This is a high quality light with a nice modern look. I really like the color and brightness of the light. I used two 75 Watt Equivalent LED A19 light bulbs which goes perfectly with this. The screwing and wiring of the light is pretty straightforward, but it helps to have another person hold the light for you during the installation. One important thing to note is that mine did not come with the metal screw that goes on the bottom. I was able to work around this by using the screw from my previous light. Other than that, I'm happy with my purchase, and I would highly recommend it!

This well designed fixture includes attached fiberglass insulation for the ceiling opening. Very thick (1/4") glass cover is sturdy and should last a long time. When the glass cover gets dirty, I just remove it from the fixture (quick and easy to do) and clean it in the dishwasher (top or bottom rack is OK). Installation took about 15-20 minutes. I'm using two 23W compact fluorescents in it now, but when they fail, I'll switch over to lower wattage LEDs since the prices are starting to drop now.

Like another reviewer mentioned, no installation instructions (more like schematic) but it is a basic install for the most part. Also it only came with 2 screws to mount the fixture to the bracket but not the screws to mount the bracket to the housing in the ceiling.Then there is the issue that the screw length is too long in my case meaning i cant get this light flush with the ceiling. With it being loose there is potential for it to fall from the ceiling.I will end up doing what the other reviewer did to get this mounted in a better way by installing the screws from above the bracket and using a washer and nut to hold it.The metal base seems a little flimsy but should be OK. Glass looks fine.I like this due to the other fixtures i purchased made by Progress Lighting but this must be one of the lights they didn't put much effort into making.

They don't look or feel cheap, they're nicely brushed and the pattern is a nice touch

Nice light for the price

I mean, all right: it's a light fixture and it works. But it was a bit of a bear to install (mainly b/c the instructions are lousy) and it doesn't look all that great. But, okay, it's in my girl's room, and it's fine.

Recieved in a timely fashion as expected from amazon.. However, looked cheap, small dent in metal, and bubble in the glass... Returned no issues.
