yes. i am 5"3 ..there is a elastic waist band plus a tie and the dress is pleated.

An XL should be plenty big for you - you may even want to go down to a L. I'm 5 ft 6 and was 197 pre pregnancy. I've bought this dress twice - in maroon at 5 months pregnant for a wedding, and in navy print for my baby shower two weeks ago, at 36 wks pregnant. For the wedding I was about 215 lbs and for the shower I was up to 230-235. Non pregnant, I have an hourglass figure so have always loved wrap dresses. The fabric is very forgiving - the XL fit me just fine for both events. I also hope to keep wearing it after my baby gets here.
