Gothic Industrial Tribute To Smashing Pumpkins

^That being said, you should expect a "Gothic-Industrial" sound, something which for the most part Smashing Pumpkins is not. It would seem this album got a bad rep because of people expecting it to sound like the pumpkins even though it clearly states that it will sound "Gothic-Industrial"... Anyhow, as far as a tribute album goes I personally think this is top notch; but then again I came into this knowing to expect a "Gothic" and somewhat "Industrial" influence.Even as a former fan of such industrial bands as KMFDM and Pig I don't think the entire album is great but there are some tracks I come back to again and again, those being tracks 3, 5, especially 6 & 8, and 10-13. Also I stumbled across two incredible bands from this compilation; Razed in Black and Bella Morte. -If you liked their contributions to this tribute album then you'll love their other productions as well. Check em out.Anyway, before buying this be well aware that it's on the cover for a reason -in big. bold. letters."A Gothic-Industrial Tribute"

I was hoping for some great Pumpkins covers. What I received, on the other hand, is an incredible cover by Pig and not much else.

I would give this a 6 if I couldI loved this album. It puts an entirely different spin on some of the most popular Smashing Pumpkins songs. I know people who don't like the origional versions but they love these new versions.A note to reviewers: This album is NOT supposed to sound like the Smashing Pumpkins.

My very first impression of this disc was that it was awful.I don't know anything about Gothic music,so I figured I would stay with a band's music I already know.Rhinoceros,God and Bullet with Butterfly Wings aren't that great.In fact I would say they're quite bad,but The End Is The Beginning Is The End,Ava Adore and others are good.The reason I didn't like some of the songs is because they sound really spacey and over done.Plus Some of the vocals sound like a cross between Billy Idol and Elvis with a demonic flair.Some of this was almost too funny to listen to.But if you're a huge Pumpkins fan and must have everything even remotely related to them buy it,if not I suggest you don't bother.

I really like this CD. I purchased it a few times since the early 2000's. Most recent purchase being early August 2018. Track 10 just takes me away ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

alright, I will be plain and simple... this is a great CD! [....] anyway, when i listened to it, i was entranced! i could never imagine how such great alternative rock music (one of my favorite kinds of music) could be made into awesome techno/industrial with goth (i dont like goth music, but i still loved the music)! some sound the same, like Eye, and some are great, Rhinoceros, Ava Adore, and definitly Today! i would urge anyone who loves smashing pumpkins as well as techno/industrial/goth!

This CD is NOT for:- smashing pumpkins fans OR- gothic-industrial music listenersJust consider, if you like gothic-industrial, AND like and know smashing pumpkins songs, you will definitively like this album

You can hate it at first because it just seems different but it grows on you. Yes it does. Ava Adore with a female singer? Oh man, it works! The Today with a weird delay echo - great.
