Mikasa Antique White Vegetable Bowl, 10-Inch - HK400-750

I bought a 20-piece setting of Antique White on amazon and really like it--it's quality dinnerware. Completer pieces, however, whether purchased on amazon or the Mikasa website, are hit or miss. My 20-piece set notes Ultima+ on the bottom of each piece, along with HK-400. These are the fine dishes--still strong, but relatively thin and lightweight. Pieces that don't include these two pieces of info are much thicker and heavier. They still match other Antique White pieces but look clunkier.Happily, this piece came with the Ultima+ and HK-400 notations. I like the size. It's more shallow than I thought but would hold plenty of vegetables, such as green beans or mashed potatoes, for a family of 6. Even just as part of a couple, I'll get a lot of use out of this.

I wanted this to go with the rest of my Mikasa Antique White dishes. It is really too shallow for serving anything with liquid in it. I wish it were deeper and held a little more. The only time we really use serving dishes at our house is for large gatherings - that's why I think it is too small. It is very pretty and good quality like the rest of this set. That is why I gave it 4 stars.

Needed a "piece" that would look like it belonged in any dinner setting. This piece does it.

I definitely use this piece as an adjunct to the great Mikasa set. It is finely made, holds a good amount, and looks good on the table. I am thinking of getting a second one soon.
