Van HeusenMen's Dress Shirt Fitted Poplin Solid

I bought this shirt to wear to sing a concert. The dark blue color is great, and the quality of the shirt is fine.I’m an athletic 5’11”, 205 lbs, so I appreciate the room on the chest and taper in the middle that an athletic fit dress shirt affords. Also, I like a neck big enough for singing, so a 17.5” neck works.So I bought it after seeing it was an athletic fit, i.e. tapered in the middle a bit so you’re not swimming in shirt.It arrived with the tab on the inside saying it was a trimmer cut, but it’s a box. I laid it out on the bed and it was just a square dress shirt.I wore it anyway- had to- and I’ll keep it for the next time I need a jewel-tone shirt, but can’t wear it without a jacket that hides the folding in the back to make the front look nice.

I have been buying this exact same shirt from Van Heusen for the last 15 years for work. The quality is excellent and they hold up very well! The quality has actually stayed the SAME over the years and has not diminished like most. I have tried other brands and nothing can come close to the quality of these shirts in the same price range. I am super picky about dress shirts and these stay nice all day and hold an excellent crease on the sleeve! The collars are nice and thick (if that's the right term) to look perfect with any tie. I hate seeing cheap shirts with crappy collars or button-down collars on guys that should not be wearing them due to size. That is what separates the men from the boys in the business fashion world. I get compliments about my suits all the time and a lot of it I attribute to these shirts and a proper fit.

Normalmente mi talla es: 15.5" cuello, pero, este caso decidí pedir una talla 15" cuello con 32" 33" manga; ya que se ajusta mejor a mis medidas ideales de PECHO y CINTURA según la tabla de tallas. (Hago esta aclaración por que es muy importante no equivocarse en estos datos (pecho y cintura) ya que esto puede significar pedir una camisa enorme o muy pequeña).El producto que recibí es exactamente como lo esperaba; una linda camisa con buena tela, color y diseño la cual se ajusta a la perfección a mis medidas.Al observar la tela no le encuentro detalles negativos, el color es estupendo y tal como lo pedí. A lo mejor un poco larga; sin embargo, las utilizo por dentro para oficina así que no es un problema para mí.EL ÚNICO DETALLE QUE OBSERVO ES QUE SIENTO QUE TIENE UNAS MEDIDAS DE MÁS EN LA MANGA.YO USO 32" 33" PARA QUE NO SE ME HAGAN BOLSAS DE TELA EN LA MANGA Y ME QUEDE PERFECTA; SIN EMBARGO, SIENTO QUE ES UN TANTO MAS LARGA DE MANGA (CREO QUE LLEGANDO A 34" 35").Por lo demás es una excelente camisa y una gran opción en relación a calidad/precio. Recomiendo.

It is a thin material. I bought it because of the point collar. Not disappointed! Good shirt.

Van Heusen's (fitted) dress shirt is a great fit and price.

I have had wrinkle free shirts from Van Heusen for decades. I love the colors (especially the more saturated ones). I am a 44/45 " chest, 5'11", 195lbs and these fit perfect (16.5 34/35), as if they were tailor made for me. I like them so much I replaced a bunch of my old ones.

I ordered two of these quite expensive shirts from amazon.co.uk but they took several months to arrive. So I think they had to be sourced from somewhere abroad.Once they finally arrived I found them incredibly well-packaged, in the old fashioned way, with pins and bits of plastic and cardboard all over the place. Once I removed all of these bits and pieces I found the shirt seriously creased. Fair enough. So I gave it a gentle washing and then hung it up to dry. The creases however remained! So then I popped it into the washing machine and gave it a gentle wash, hoping that that might disperse the creases. But no. The creases remained. I'm afraid I'm going to have to try to iron them out. I'm including with this review a photo of one of the sleeves of one of the shirts on my ironing-board after it has had two washes. With a steam iron the creases have now been ironed out. Now it will be interesting to see if there are creases after further washes, or whether these shirts prove not to be wash, dry, and wear.As for the shirt itself it is very finely stitched and the amount of fabric involved is generous. On one of the shirts however there was some loose tagging In a line of stitching which ought to have been removed appropriately before leaving the factory. I am fearful of trimming that cotton off in case it causes the stitching to run.The fabric is not thick and hard wearing. It is probably ideal for a hot climate. It is fairly thin and has somewhat silk-like sheen to it at this stage. It's a blend of cotton and polyester. I think that if the shirt has been ironed, or if it succeeds in drying without creases being left in it, then this shirt should look quite smart when worn.I may update this review after a few months of wearing and washing these shirts.
