Set of Two Madrid Ladderback Dining Chairs, Unfinished

Very solid hardwood chairs. The only flaw is there were no pre drilled holes to align the seat with the frame making assembly a bit tricky. Once assembled they’re very solid but be prepared to drill some holes!

These chairs are not near as tall as my current dining chairs making it look awkward around the table!

I read a lot of reviews and decided that these chairs sounded like they might be perfect. I was not disappointed. It took me a bit to figure out the assembly and as some others noted, the fact that the seat has no marked or pre-drilled holes on the underside is surprising - but it worked t just set it on the base where it should be and screw the screws up through the pre-drilled holes in the base. The one thing that could be stated more clearly in the directions is to make sure the chair legs are level before tightening any of the bolts. I understood this better after assembling the first one! These chairs are incredibly well sanded, finished and constructed. Now I need a third one and hope I can order a single one!

I started putting the chair together and I put the seat base on upside down. So my son helped me finish it, but he accidentally grabbed the bolt for the back and used it on the front leg and it split the leg because it was too long.There is no way to replace the leg unless I purchase 2 new chairs, from what the vendor said to others who did this same thing. Very disappointed that they don’t provide replacement parts. Apparently we weren’t the only ones who did this, according to other reviews.

These chairs are very well made. Although easy to assemble, takes some time. Took me about 1/2 hour each. Well worth the effort. All pre-drilled holes lined up perfectly and everything I needed, except a phillips head screwdriver, was in the box. They are sturdy and should hold up for many years. Also, very pretty.

Yes, you’re reading the title correctly. These chairs just aren’t white enough. If you are looking for the farmhouse look, these chairs just won’t be white enough to go with your decour. I will say that the company is amazing and they tried everything to make it right, but each time the chairs weren’t really white. I ended up purchasing unfinished chairs and my husband is in the process of painting them white and sealing the seat.

Purchase a dining room set about 20 years ago and after years of abuse for my kids my daughter decided to refinish it. Why the table was easy to strip and re-stain the chairs because of all the spindles were a nightmare so we opted to trash them and go for a new unfinished chairs. She was able to staying in the same color as the table and they look as if they were made for the table. Very sturdy comfortable and the great thing about them as if the grandkids right on I’m still paying on them or color on them with markers on my daughter has to do is re-sand and restain them.

What a great find, fairly easy to assemble, very well made and very very comfy!Only one problem, the kit was supposed to have 4 small bolts but only 3 were included.As it turned out, only 3 are needed so perhaps a misprint?!Matches my table beautifully, only wish my other chairs were this nice!

Quality of the wood was better than expected.
