Fast and clean but powerful drill required
As they advertise, these bits cuts extremely fast and also very clean holes. Also, when going through wood you don't get splintering on the back. However because they are so fast you need a powerful drill to cope with the aggressive cutting. With the 1 1/8th" bit, my 120v 4 amp drill kept stalling and I had to hit reverse and forward a few times to get thru the joist. I switched to a 6 amp drill and even that struggled on some of the joists. With the 1" bit it blew thru like it was cheese.
