ASICSMen's Gel-Contend 7 Running Shoe

I exercise walk for about an hour each day reaching about 4 miles on concrete. These feel great on my feet for any activity. I have tried other sneakers and the ASICS Men's Gel-Contend series has always worked best for me. They can easily be had for around $40, with shipping included, when on sale. I am a heel striker and the heel wears out before the rest of the tread. I usually get about 3 to 6 months wear out of these before replacing, because of worn tread...between 360 to 720 miles.In the photos above, the shoes I am reviewing are the grey ASICS Men's Gel-Contend 7. The shoes with the black with blue stripes are ASICS Men's Gel-Contend 6. As you can see the styling has changed from the 6 to the 7. Also, the ASICS Men's Gel-Contend 6 tread is on the left and the 7s are on the right. Notice the change there also. Not sure if the 7 tread will have more mileage or not since I have not been able to use these yet. The new 7s do feel very comfortable on my feet with the first try on. I always go up a half size with any running shoe, as I have done with these, in a medium/standard width.

I stand usually 8 to 10 hours a day in a busy pharmacy and the fatigue mats on the floor don't always cut it. A pharmacist I work with recommended these to me and I can say they make a huge difference throughout the day. Only thing is it could use better arch and ankle support, and although I've only had these a few weeks I can already feel the gel insole material beginning to impact.

Tried several different styles in similar price point from asics and adidas. Nothing else came close to the comfort and looks of these. Only wished it was truly all black but I’ll live.

Comfortable husband loved it. Wears it everyday. Goes with almost every outfit he has. And after all this time it is still.in good condition and will continue to last him for a a while longer.

Great fit; good support. Perfect for workouts. I looked for other colors to wear for other purposes, but the rest all have that silly white sole (the part that’s most closely in contact with dirt), so didn’t get one.

I use this for walking in our hot desert climate. Cooler than a regular walking shoe which is better for me in our hot climate. The shoe is comfortable after break-in; seems well constructed; nice looking shoe. The shoe is lightweight with nice colors. This shoe looks like it will last me for about 3 years of my walking exercise. I can use in the winter when not too cold. I purchased a second pair for casual use and some office work use. I am very happy and satisfied with these shoes.

The shoe fits a little tight than what I’m normally used to wearing. I would purchase it again but go up a half a size pretty sure that would make all the difference. All in all for the money it’s a great quality shoe.

These Asics are a replacement for the exact same running shoes that I already wore out. I use these shoes for work. I’m on my feet all day on concrete and do a lot of walking. It took me about 1 year to break them down and wear them out. The sole never separated from the mesh upper part of the shoe nor did the mesh tear apart and break down like many other products I’ve tried in the past. This pair fits exactly the same as the last and they have great support for an affordable price. I’ll continue buying this brand. They are my new go to…
