Made my trans shift worse
2003 civic, had a shift flare from 3rd to 4th. Maybe a 500 rpm flare. Bought this to fix it but after installing, the all up shifts flare 1000-1500 RPM and downshifts slam. Took it out and reinstalled the old part.

Did not work
2003 Honda Civic EX 1.7l with 4 speed BMXA transmission. Just rebuilt transmission (new seals, clutches, steels, filter, valve kit, and filter) and decided to put new solenoids on as well. This solenoid is not set correctly and only allows reverse and 1st to operate and sometimes you can get a 2nd gear shift. Replaced with the original from transmission and it has worked perfect since. I did get a fast refund so just beware, if this part does not fix your issue, check the line pressures and verify that this solenoid is working as it should.

Doesnt work on BMXA transmission
Well, I tried it. The one that was on the transmission barely worked, but I could move the car. When I installed this one, the car wouldnt shift at all, no gears whatsoever, couldnt move. put the old one back on, I could move the car again. Maybe its just not build to the pressure tolerances needed to work on this trans.
