Ushanka-hat Russian Soviet Army Fur Military Cossack

Very comfy, soft, and fuzzy. The star, brass, and hammer/sickle shine brilliantly in the black, the ear flags are very comfortable too, the hat is nice and warm, but not too much if left tied in the up position when indoors. I got an XL-sized hat to fit my giant head, and it STILL has enough room so thats its not tight, but stays in place without sitting too low or high!I definently recommend this wonderful hat to anyone that wants a cool-looking ushanka thats not made from actual fur thats at a wonderful price! Exceptional quality too, everything is tightly sewn and the quilted interior is patterned perfectly. I adore how this matches my black oilskin overcoat, and that it comes with a soviet star that matches the soviet badges on my coat.So if you wanna be warm and look cool this winter, this is the hat for you~ ^_^Plus, its made in Moscow, Russia! Wearing it reminds me of my youth in the Soviet Union for I had one of these when I was a child~ <3

This is by far the warmest hat I've ever owned and I don't regret buying it for a second. When it was delivered my parents were concerned as to what was in the box because of other unusual things I've purchased (gas masks, knives, inflatable suits, etc.), but after I pulled it out of the box and shopping bag with a picture of America that said "Thank you for your purchase" my dad immediately took it from my hands and tried it on himself! I've worn it to bed every night sine I got it and it's kept me nice and warm through the unusually cold fall we've had in Ohio. I only have three very minor problems with it. One of the metal wires on the back of the badge was very brittle and broke off just a few minutes after I opened the box, but the other is still in good shape and holds the badge on, if a little loosely. This isn't really a problem for me though as I don't wear the badge in public for fear of being assaulted by someone with bad memories from the Cold War or someone with an exceptionally patriotic personality. Two, I ordered an XL and it's just a little bit big on my head, so maybe order a size down from what you think would fit. It might just be me mistakenly measuring my own enormous head, but just to be safe I'd measure twice next time. And finally, probably the biggest problem is that I only own one of these. If money wasn't an issue I'd get one for everyone in my family. It's incredibly well-made, very soft and as I said before unbelievably warm. Oh and as an additional plus, the shipping was very quick, especially considering where it was coming from.

I bought this for my son who loves big, warm, comfy winter hats and I can express how well and how awesome this hat looks. It is made in Russia and I didn’t see any workmanship mishaps or rips just very well made hat and big enough to fit most heads. It came fast and was very well packaged and now I need to buy 2 more hats for my other family member and friend who loved the hat once they’ve seen it. I would definitely recommend it if you are thinking on buying it.

Warm in winter

This hat is warm and appears to be well made, but after owning a legit, 100% official RU officers Ushanka I can say this is *not even close* to the same league as a real one. It weighs 1/3rd of the real one and is not nearly as robust or nice, but for the money it's not a bad buy.

I bought an XL for a 12-year-old boy and I believe it will fit well. I am a grown woman and it fit me perfectly. Telling you that for perspective. I'm a snob when it comes to tailoring and I will tell you that this hat is perfectly made. The front of the hat has a Russian medallion and it is a brad so you can easily remove it and replace if you so desire. I will be buying one for myself and attaching a Russian coin to the front with a brad even though I do love the sickle and hammer emblem. The stitching on this hat is fantastic: no loose string, thick quilt, fur that doesn't fall off when brushed. The ear flaps are tied together at the top of the hat with a black ribbon long enough to tie into an inconspicuous bow but short enough so as not to distract when the muffs are in place. Once you untie the bow, you will lower the muffs and the neck warmer, which again, fits perfectly around the nape. The tab inside the hat is soft plastic so it won't scratch the skin, and it is labelled "Made in Russia" in both English and Russian. The size chart is Russian and an XL is a Size 62. Label says the hat is 100% polyester. This is my second purchase this season of clothing that is impeccable in every sense of the word. I couldn't be happier!

A very nice hat - warm and looks great. I am actually looking forward to winter now that I have a hat that will protect me from the cold. The fit is about right and the seller detached the emblem so I can decide myself whether to fit it or not. The fitting instructions were clear and fitting will be easy. If anyone wants an attractive, warm winter hat at a reasonable price, this is the perfect answer.Although I realize that the hat emblem is based on the Russian KGB, it would be good to have an American alternative emblem to display. A shot of red and gold color at the front would be great without the 'stigma' of something that says 'Russian'. No one would ever mistake the origin of the hat, but an American emblem of some sort would make the item absolutely perfect.

Ok so this is my first review on any item I've purchased on Amazon. I felt I needed a review on this particular product because it not only exceeded my expectations, but all in all is a very well, warm, and stylish winter hat. The pin came pre-installed, I've noticed people saying that it was not attached and you had to put it on yourself but this was not the case with mine. There was no funny smell and the material seemed of very high quality. My only complaint is the sizing, my head isnt the largest but even the medium seems a little snug. I'm sure with time the hat will give and become more spacious for my cranium but it isnt a breaking point for me. It's a very cool hat, looks good and serves its purpose.
