These are great bags for the price. The leather is sound, and the workmanship decent. I will be ordering these again.Some of the low-star reviews cite the bags being stiff and inflexible. And they did come stiff, but just needed to be conditioned and broken. Now they are soft, supple, and flexible This just shows that those reviewers don't know anything about leather.Leather is like a used kitchen sponge. When completely dry, as will happen if it's been in flat-packed storage for a while, the leather, like a dry sponge, is hard and stiff. As long as it hasn't cracked, it just needs to be conditioned. First moisten the leather with a water sprayer or damp cloth. This makes the spongy fibers more flexible and opens up additional surface area. Next, liberally apply a leather conditioner or Neetsfoot oil (or in a pinch, coconut can work reasonably well and even regular hair conditioner can work if you have nothing else!), and massage it in. Let the bag sit for a couple hours/overnight, and then knead/work/squeeze/wring it in your hands to start breaking in the leather. If it's still stiff or changes color when bent, simply repeat the process until the leather is nicely conditioned, soft, and supple.So yea, quality bags, sturdy, tough, and a good deal for your money, the leather just might need a bit of love.

Nice quality leather. Looks medieval and draw string works well, just what we wanted. Holds much more than expected.

Great material for an EDC pouch although for as much as I plan on using mine I felt the drawstring it came with was a bit to thin so I grabbed a pair of tough Kiwi leather shoelaces at my local grocery for a few bucks and confident this will hold up better for daily use. The button sliders are inexpensive and easy to find which also gave me the opportunity to personalize it with a cool meton boss lanyard bead.

In order to make this flexible and usable, you've got to do some work on the bag. It loosens up nicely with some work though.

I bought the middle size which works well with what I had in mind. The leather is good, real leather and with the draw string the closure is tight.

I am pleased with these leather pouches. They were purchased for use in a treasure chest for our Halloween pirate display. The pouch is so hefty that I will have to work to make it look properly weathered.
