The Chorizo had great taste just like my grandmother’s when I was a young child. The only thing I dislike was the dryness I would have liked a l little bit of tenderness to the meat.

i don't do alot of ethnic type dishes when i cook, but when i do, i like to get it right. i love paella, so when i make it i try really hard to do it the right way. this time i went all in and ordered everything from spain - a spanish dish, get the goodies from spain - makes sense to me.i have tried to find the right chorizo the last two times i made it and they were both wrong. major misses :-( this time i took my time and went through every single page amazon had to offer on rice, saffron, chorizo and even sprung for a new paella pan as mine recently committed suicide - got the cast iron one from lodge - i was pumped as i was going thru the motions and realized as it was coming together that the chorizo was the kicker! it was mild almost sweet (the lobster and shrimp had found the perfect playmate). this dish was by far the best i had done. my husband who had to suffer thru the other attempts couldn't stop eating it. i wasn't sure if he was even breathing between bites ;-)i love the seafood version of this dish and if you haven't found the right chorizo, look no further, cuz this is IT! they have a hot version of this, but i like to keep the flavors going in the same directions. don't think for a second that the mild chorizo is too light or mild. it has plenty of flavor and got along well with the lobster, shrimp, chicken and cod.i've never seen anyone eat it cold out of the fridge, but my husband had no problem doing that later that night... yup, winner winner chorizo dinner!

Since there is very little to see on the 120 television channels I receive, I tend to watch cooking shows from time to time.While watching Jacques Pepin, Jacques prepared a dish with Chorizo and mentioned that he had enjoyed Chorizo since he was a child.I had never had Chorizo so after watching Jacques, I thought that I should try it.There is no nearby location where I could purchase Chorizo so I checked Amazon, read the reviews and chose Espuna Mild Chorizo.After receiving it, I placed the Chorizo in the refrigerator and forgot about it until today when I noticed it at the back of the shelf.On opening the package, I noticed that it is a bit “greasy” but then, with no experience, I thought that maybe that is the way it should be. I also noticed faint sort of musty smell. I checked the expiration date and found that it is still good for another five months. Maybe it is supposed to be a bit musty in smell because of dry processing.On tasting, I perceived almost no taste. The Chorizo has the texture of a gas station Slim Jim with none of the flavor. (Note that I do not think that Slim Jims have a good flavor and have not “enjoyed” a Slim Jim in the past 35 years but I think it is a good comparison for the texture). I tried a couple of more slices of the Chorizo to be sure but still there was almost no taste.I am disappointed. Maybe I should have shopped for a more spicy version but at the price, I am not going to conduct a trial and error test of the product.

I use this for lentejas con chorizo (lentils with chorizo) - it’s got a good flavour and holds together well when it cooks. I liked the spicy one but it is no longer available - I used to use a half mild/ half spicy combo. Jamón Prive are great, I’ve used them for other items - their products arrive quickly in good condition and stop me missing my home in Málaga too much.

Got this for my daughter who is 6. She loved it! Hubby loved it too. I used it to make some black beans and it gave it a very good flavor.

We use chorizo sliced for part of our appetizer offering. Everyone is enjoying the authentic Spanish seasoning. I would recommend this product. I need to add that there are many different types of Chorizo to purchase and not all are the same. This chorizo was obviously made with quality products. It is not fatty nor over seasoned and the texture is very palatable. Many of our friends, who have not enjoyed chorizos in the past, definitely enjoy this product.

I am very impressed with this product as I ordered it because I couldn’t find it in local stores. I needed it for a Keto recipe. It was fabulous!!!! I did the recipe again to share with friends and they loved it too! It has a very good flavor!!!! This is the 2nd time I’ve ordered this. I am a customer for life!!!! I highly suggest trying this. It can be used in so many recipes and it’s Keto friendly!!!!
