Great little float for trout!
I use these with 2lbs line and size 16 hooks for trout. I really like them over foam floats because there’s a little more mass to cast the light rig. I don’t always use the wooden peg sometimes I use them with the rubber slip on bobber stop with one on top and one below to prevent line kink with light line.

my goto float for a great lakes indi rig
I have been using these for the past 5 years on my erie indi rig for great lakes steelhead. These floats can handle a ton of shot. I wish you could get it in hot pink and white like I used to. Keep plenty of tooth pick to replace the provided picks since you will surely loose one or two here or there. Just snap off about a centimeter of the tip of the tooth pick to use.

Top notch strike indicator!
I use this when fly fishing with nymphs. Floats like a cork and quickly indicates I have a bite when it hesitates in the stream or dips below the surface. Easy to cast and VERY sensitive
