May have to modify the installation of mounting bracket from the instructions.
Very nice upgrade for old fireplace.

Beautifully understated
This item replaced a much older all gold/brass colored unit which no longer fit the vibe and was not functional. This unit immediately elevated the fireplace aesthetic and is attractive, understated and sleekly streamlined. There were so many choices, I’m so glad I chose this unit. It is exactly what I needed from a functional and decor standpoint. The install was smooth, all parts were included and the doors and screens work flawlessly.

Good quality doors worth the money.
QUALITYBetter quality than I expected. The antique brass is not brass. It's painted .... looks like powder coat enamel. Not what I expected but the color works OK. This is the reason 4 stars instead of 5.EASE OF INSTALLATIONI installed on a 30 yr old prefab wood burning fireplace so had to rig it. Works great. The instructions that came with are fine. I think a novice could do it with a 2nd set of hands available. Hardware included seems to be sturdy and all the parts fit as intended. If you are as coordinated as me (not very) you'll do yourself a favor taking off the wire mesh doors to give yourself more room to crawl around inside the spider hole that is your fireplace. They have a little pin on the top. Pliers and pull the pin, push the doors straight up and the bottom will pop out, then you can remove the doors. The instructions do not mention this. Reinstall reverse the process. Mine were a bugger to put back in. Took considerable wiggling - the ridge that holds the pin on top kept getting caught up on the edge of the hole. Also, if you are rigging this... learn from my mistake... be sure to get your top angle brackets at down far enough from the top or you'll be saying a few mean words with your head inside the fireplace trying to get your hands up in the space to screw things in.SIZINGAll Pleasant Hearth doors come with a 2" riser bar that is optional and not installed. The height listed for each size INCLUDES the riser bar.Small size is listed as 30" high x 37.5" wide. It's actually 28" high and you can add the riser bar if needed. Also, on the depth. Remember the descriptions include the HANDLES. This door is 1" deep plus .75" for the handles. This model includes a half inch lip on each side and 2" on the bottom -- for those of you who will need to rig it.

Very happy with this purchase
Arrived as shown. Easy to install even though my fireplace did not have expected bar. The doors aren't a tight seal, but they close well enough and seem to keep smoke out when used for that purpose. Screen is very secure and easy to open and close. I love it

Looks Great!
*I used this insert in a fireplace that was purely decoration. It will never be exposed to fire*This insert fit the opening of my fireplace extremely well and was relatively easy to install. Im using the insert for decoration only so I can't say how safe it would be if it's exposed to fire.I like that the screen behind the glass doors is so easy to remove if desired. Removing them completely changes the look of the fireplace.

Wrong dimention everywhere
First, in the "Technical details" section, it says "Large size dimensions: 36-43-Inch width of firebox opening and 22.5-32.5-Inch height of firebox opening ....". my firebox opening is 36 by 25, it should fit well. Actually, the height description should be 25.5-30.5-Inch.Second, I follow other reviewer's suggestion and look at the owner's manual on line. The owner's manual says: Large, fits open 25.5"-32.5"*. Note there is a start (*) at end. Then looking at the note: *Height includes a 2" riser bar (not assembled). Ok, if we don't use the riser bar, it should be 23.5"-30.5", right ? Wrong. The correct description should be 25.5" - 30.5" without riser bar. If include riser bar, it should be 27.5"- 32.5".My fireplace open is 25"-36". The small size should fit. But if I use small size, the two side will be covering 3/4" of the wall only. Not only it won't insulate well, but also almost the entire 3" insulation will expose to the fire. The medium size is taking the width of a small screen and the height of the large screen, it is not really a medium size between small and large. It is a short cut to introduce a medium size without investing in factory for true medium size. However, I will be happy if they have a second choice of medium size which takes the width of a large screen and height of a small screen.
