The bells are ringing as the music from the Disney Classic Animated film "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" releases on picture disc vinyl. This collectible piece features colorful key art images from the film that made a deformed but gentle-souled bell ringer win the hearts of many. Includes songs from the film like "The Bells of Notre Dame," "Out There" and more!

Beautiful vinyl, horrible audio
Beautiful artwork on the vinyl of my favorite Disney Animated movie. Great to look at, pressing is horrible as with all picture discs.

My oh my
Perfect! Had to obtain this because this movie is easily within the top three favorite disneg movies! As the movie is vastly underrated I however love it! And these Disney picture vinyls are beautiful, which helps it double as a display piece!Up keep and maintence on records is no easy task or cheap.. but well worth it for impulsive collectors such as myself! Maintain the cleanliness of the record at all cost! Helps it last decades and keeps the sound quality in good standing! The colors of these picthre vinyls are amazing and its just a joy too look at as well! Only issue is I wish the records came in a sturdy clear plastic sleeve instead comes in a flimsy plastic, durable and gets the job done! But it be nice to have something sturdy for more adequate storing and help display it as well! Staric proof sleves are recommended but if you are audiophile you know why I suggest it xD

Yes!
OMG!!! Its the best thing ever, I'm a 90s baby and I just love CD's. I havent watched the film in a very long time but listening to this, it brought back vivid images of the movie and I think that's fantastic. I love the huge bell sounds and big music, they are telling a story throughout the soundtrack that I think is more complex that other Disney movie soundtracks. I have a couple other Disney soundtrack CD's and this may be my favorite. (I'm indecisive lol) If you love Disney, then get the cd!

Perfect!
The Hunchback of Notre Dame is one of my favorite movies... I've been wanting the vinyl for a really long time.. my fiance finally got it for me as a Valentine's gift. It came decently packaged, not very well protected though... but it had no scratches or any damage to it and it plays perfectly!

Charming powerful music
In a review in which I covered the soundtrack for the Pixar classic Toy Story, I mentioned that the '90s was a great time to be a kid with a love for Disney movies, one of those movies was the fantastic and highly under appreciated The Hunchback of Notre Dame. The Hunchback of Notre Dame was quite a technical marvel for its time. Boasting an excellent array of colours, superb animation and an adult orientated story that was very well adapted to appeal to a younger audience. But what caught people's attention was not just the fact it was a beautiful looking film but the fact that the soundtrack did not house endless sugary love songs like most Disney movies of the time. But instead it focused on more complex compositions that featured heavy use of very dark themes.Of course it has the typical Disney numbers like Out There, Topsy Turvy and A Guy Like You. These really bring home the traditional Disney sound. The former has a strong performance from Tom Hulce. A fantastic singer by all means, unfortunately his performance is plagued a little by the over use of vibrato. A vocal technique that can take a great voice and make it sound like they are gurgling their own spit. With those songs out the way, you can enjoy the more emotional numbers like God Help The Outcasts and the stunning Heaven's Light/Hellfire. Both tracks feature some stunning vocal work from Heidi Mollenhauer, Tony Jay and the previously mentioned Tom Hulce. The vocals are passionate and powerful, backed with some stunning chorus work. These two numbers are easily the best tracks of the album. The passage of music where Tony Jay's character confesses his lust for his gypsy crush in a fiery blaze is some of the best music Disney ever produced. The other numbers on the album are well worth the listen. Unfortunately the sound is the only draw back to this album. I adore the featured songs here just from a musicians perspective but I find it hard to appreciate the sound. The soundtrack lacks the deep sound that provided the power in the actual film and it comes out fairly lacking here. It is a bit of a shame really because this is really one of the most memorable Disney soundtracks out there. If any fans see this album kicking around for a good price, I would highly recommend purchasing it. The sound is lacking a little but if you have access to a good sound system, you can complete eradicate this problem. I had a ball listening back to this soundtrack and I can imagine plenty of other people would to.Published by Steven Lornie

stunning
What can I say...a gorgeous movie with a gorgeous soundtrack! I saw The Hunchback of Notre Dame when I was a child and the music always haunted me, raising goosebumps on my arm. At twenty years old I rewatched the movie and was so wowed by the music I finally hunted down the OST on Amazon, and I'm so glad I did. Its barely been out of my player since the day it came! Beautiful lyrics and surprisingly very deep for a Disney film with its undertones of lust, judgement and death (especially my personal favourite track Hellfire, a wonderfully profound song of faith conflicting with desire that leaks hypocrisy from every word-it's amazingly written and perfectly performed by Tony Jay as Frollo) so please don't mistake this for a 'kiddy' album to silence the little uns for an hour or two (though even at my age it's very tempting to sing along to the quirky fun numbers like 'the court of miracles'). The choral score is immensely stirring and the booklet that comes with the CD gives a latin-english translation of the words, which is a nice touch. All in all this is highly recommended if you appreciated the music of the movie; this has got everything you could possibly want and it stands head and shoulders above most other Disney OSTs. My only negative comment has to go to Bette Midler's God Help The Outcasts-the lady is a fine singer but it isn't a patch on the movie version (which is on there too, don't worry). This soundtrack should be recognised up there with The Phantom of the Opera and other classics, it is simply that memorable and that good. I never tire of it.Also recommended if you like this are the Trinity Blood OST and Noein OSTs; both have some beautifully rousing choral music.

Utterly Brilliant
The entire soundtrack is directed by Alan Menkin, who also composed the soundtrack for "Beauty and the Beast". The hunchback of Notre Dam is however, utterly brilliant and I recommend that any lover of Disney music (such as myself) should buy this album without any Hesitation, and that anyone who finds the instrumentals of the album interesting should look into the work of Alan Menkin, if I were selling this I'd sell it for well over £5 (in my own personal opinion its worth £15, BUY IT WHILST YOU STILL CAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!).

Wonderful music but not quite as fully textured and fantastic as in the movie
I adore the soundtrack to the Hunchback of Notre Dame and used to play the dvd in the background for its music. So I decided to buy the soundtrack so I could pick and choose the songs and listen to them at any time without having to put in my dvd.Overall I was pleased with all of my favourite tracks. However I can fault it in a small way as a couple of tracks just don't have the same richness of bass and texture as in the dvd! So in this small way I was a tad dissapointed. It was a good buy though, and I love the artwork on the cover too

Sincere Disney Fan
One of my faves of all time and I am happy I now own it on CD. Started listening to it today. Beautiful to listen to in the evening particularly, so I have found. Makes it more atmospheric.
