Robinson RacingProducts 7854 Slash 4x4 Hp Gen3 Slipper Kit

My slash 4x4 no longer does wheelies on 3s but thats probably a good thing. 11 tooth pinion is the smallest size that fits stock vellenion motor and mount. Extra weight of kit overheats electronics quick with larger pinions. But overall very happy with kit. Strong action and a solid addition to my RC.

Replaced stock gear and slipper clutch on Slash 4x4 Ultimate with 11.1v, 50/100C which left the plastic gear assembly completely bald after a day of moderate bashing. This new HD clutch is considerably more weight (3x) but there is more than enough power to not notice that, but its performance over the stock clutch is night and day. There is more than enough high end power to do wheelies at any time during a high speed run. Had to add oversize 3.0 Trenchers to add weight and still easily does wheelies on demand except now it has more grabbing power, especially on burms and jumps. Only problem is that is had broken two stock axles at the distal joint so I would highly recommend upgrading to HD axles (steel). Should not need another clutch again unless changing diff gear ratio. I would recommend this upgrade without reservation and it fit perfectly as a direct replacement for the Slash 4x4 Ultimate. Well worth the money and performance. Do not forget the loctite on the pinion screws!!

Installed in my 4x4 Stampede with a Hobbywing brushless motor. It is a little loud with the matching Robinson Racing Pinion, but it is holding up perfectly. I also installed the Traxxas aluminum motor mount and the package is built proof.

Definitely stronger than what Traxxas provides much quicker Throttle response however you’re gonna need a stronger pinion gear

much much better than stock slipper. Make sure you get a matching Robinson racing pinion gear.. has been taking a pretty good amount of abuse for about 6 weeks and still looks like new. Also have a little patience setting the spring tension with taking the slipper out a bunch of times. Oh also having metal spurs are a little more noisy then plastic. Don't be alarmed.UPDATE:: It finally broke after a year of 3s bashing and high speed runs with 16t pinion

It has the right part number, but only contains the spur gear, and 3 washers. It's missing the brass bushing, bearing, slipper pad, and backing plate.

If you don’t have your pinion gear meshed up properly the gear will heat up and fault your battery. Ensure you are aligned properly and this is a wonderful gear !

Excellent upgrade. Has really helped with 3s power and control. Was very easy to install. Order the pinion to match.
