Perfect for magnetic velvet nails
I use this magnet for creating a velvet nail polish effect, and it's the perfect size for that. My thumb is a little bit of a tight squeeze, but it does the job. Perfect velvet nails on the first try! I might get another just to cut down on curing time.

Works great for nail art!
The media could not be loaded. I bought this to use with magnetic nail polishes and it works great! It’s a little tight on my thumb so if you have bigger hands I would find a bigger magnet but it works just as I wanted!

Great for velvet manicures
I see reviews saying the 10lb magnet doesn't pull magnetic polish as hard as the 20 or 30lb. While technically true, let's be realistic. We're talking about tiny little magnetic flakes in nail polish, not a big chunk of metal. I have this little 10lb magnet and also the honkin' huge 30lb. I use them both so I can do two nails at once, and you know what? I can't tell which nails I did with the 30lb and which I did with the 10lb.If anything you need to go for the PHYSICAL SIZE OF THE MAGNET. If you have wide fingers the 10lb isn't going to be for you. If you want to lay a straight magnet overtop of the horseshoe for the mixed velvet look you're going to need the larger size of the 30lb magnet. Pay attention to the dimension of the magnet vs the size of your fingers and you'll be just fine, the flakes in your nail polish are no match for the 10lb size.

Using for velvet nails? Read this
I'm giving this item four stars because it is not the magnet's fault that my fingers don't fit very well into it! I'm using them to do velvet style manicures + I'm having a hard time squeezing my finger into it. I might have to come back and get a larger one. But if you have small fingers you're not going to have any problem at all. It's very strong and it functions fantastic for what it is. I guess I'll use it on my refrigerator?

Came on time
This is exactly as described haven't had a chance to use it yet will update later. Seems like it will work fine.

For the nail polish enthusiasts:
Is this as big as the 30lb pull magnet? No. Is this gonna pull the magnetic bits to a velvet look as hard? Also no. BUT it still works beautifully! It gave me the perfect velvet that I've never been able to achieve with the wand, and the magnetic bits haven't migrated at all over this past week.Disclaimer: I will say, if you (respectfully) have sausage fingers you may consider a larger magnet so you've got more room to apply the polish.

Too small for my size 6 fingers
The magnetism is good but i have to squeeze my fingers into tje opening to magnetize my polish.
