Officemate Slim Clipboard Storage Box, Charcoal (83303)

Good quality, I got this for work and it’s easy to carry, good design and has a nice pen holder!

I have used this every day since I purchased it for my job over 6 months ago and it still looks nice and works great. There has been a little bit of bending because I tend to overpack things inside. So, if I have a paperclip or something thin and small in the large compartment, it may fall out. That would be my only feedback, but I wouldn't ask the manufacturer to change anything. This is a great product!

The Officemate #83303 is a plastic clipboard with a compartment inside that is large enough to accommodate a couple of tablets of legal sized notepaper. At the bottom edge is a smaller compartment with a white plastic flip-up cover, designed to hold writing instruments or other small accessories. There is room for a couple of pens but not too much more.The clipboard measures approximately 14.5” long, by 10” wide, and is about an inch thick. You can keep notepaper or other documents protected inside until they are needed. The clip is low profile, and is strong enough to securely hold a single sheet of paper. Plastic pads help to keep things from sliding out when the wind is blowing. The smooth plastic writing surface allows you to write clearly. The plastic isn’t completely rigid, so it can bend a little when you press down to write on it.The clipboard has a hinge on the left side, and a large release clip on the right side. The interior compartment is large and deep enough to house a couple of legal pads. There are no specific provisions for accommodating smaller items, but with a pad inside there should still be room for a couple of pens. On the back cover, there are ridges along the sides to provide a better grip. The plastic is fairly durable, and provides a good overall level of basic protection from the weather.I also have the Saunders SlimMate storage clipboard, a similar product that I have used for field work. The Officemate clipboard is probably equally functional, although the flip up cover may work better for those who are right handed. The white storage compartment is easily accessible and quite handy. Although a little bulky, this type of clipboard is more attractive and professional looking than your standard clipboard, and this particular series (#8330_) appears to be extremely popular with users.If you plan to use this outdoors, having some protection from rain and wind should be a plus. The annoying thing about soft plastic clipboards is that the writing surface bends inwards, but apparently reinforcing the cover to make it stiffer is not regarded as important. Having various available colors is nice for the fashion conscious, although color is usually a factor in the price you will pay. If you are fortunate, and the color isn’t a critical factor, there may be times when you can get an Officemate 8330_ for under 6 dollars.

I have bought several of these clip boards. I absolutely love them. They are high quality. The clip has a good grip and very good quality. The clipboard has a really good feel to it and is easy to hold onto. These clipboards come in a variety of styles and keep me organized. I have one with a calculator so I never have to waste time trying to find where I put it and I have one that has office supplies like scissors, paperclips, ruler etc. These storage clipboards save me time and money because they keep me organized and I don't have to waste time looking for things. I can find my notes because they are clipped on and my pens because there is a spot for them. I can even put my calculator inside. When I used the regular clip boards my notes would get ruined or my notes would fall off and get lost. I love the fact that I can put them in a storage box, keep them clean and from being destroyed. These are great for nurses and nursing students. These clipboards fit in backpacks and carry bags making them easy to travel with. I highly recommend these clipboards.

I am very impressed by the clipboard's quality and functionality. The smooth surface is perfect for writing on and I love that the clipboard includes separate storage compartments for my writing utensils and documents. I find I no longer need to carry excess supplies in my work bag, because the clipboard perfectly compacts everything I need into one item. And the slim design makes it easy and convenient to bring anywhere! Plus, the durable storage compartment is great for protecting my documents from getting wrinkled or damaged. I highly recommend the clipboard to anyone looking for an optimized way to keep track of their work/school supplies. It certainly has helped me to declutter and stay organized!

I have had this clipboard for nearly 6 months now. I was actually surprised by how much of a beating this clipboard could take; considering that it feels like brittle plastic. Since I've had this clipboard it has fallen off of carts onto solid metal ramps and concrete floors; and it has been at the bottom of a pile of fallen boxes, weighing approximately 5-25lbs. It's durability is somewhat impressive, however, it has a few quality problems. It scratches very easy. I hang it up on a metal hook (which isn't sharp) and it is scratching the inside up, pretty significantly. Also, one of the black, rubber pieces on the clip fell off. Fortunately I found it and it was easy to put back on. I just think that it came off way too easily and this product is relatively new. I wouldn't think that it would be falling apart like this. However, it could have fallen off from being damaged by some of the boxes that landed on it. The worst thing that has happened so far is that the semitransparent plastic compartment, located at the bottom, cracked on the left side and the right side looks like it's about to crack as well. Meaning, that the compartment is about to completely become detached. This clipboard is relatively affordable but I wouldn't recommend getting this for any heavy duty, industrial use.
