Markwort C-Flap for Right Handed Batter (Navy Blue)

As with anything that is a “universal” fit, I am sure it fits some helmets better than others. In our case, it fits my 9-year old’s Mizuno pretty well.You definitely need your child to be available so you can place the guard in the best position for safety and visibility. I drilled two holes and utilized one existing hole. Total install time was about 20 minutes.I do wish it was available in a matte color, but functionality is more important than style here.My son was actually very excited about it and is looking forward to getting on the field. It helps that some major leaguers and minor leaguers are beginning to use them.After witnessing a few close calls in our first year of Little League minors, I highly recommend this device. If not this brand, then something similar that meets your needs.

The protective flap comes with three pre-drilled holes. We have three helmets by two different manufactures and they didn't line up to any of them. We loosely attached the flap to the topmost hole, then pencil drew an outline circle for the next lower hole. Drilled it then inserted the 2nd screw (loosely). Drew the 3rd hole then removed the 2nd screw. Moved the flap out of the way and drilled the 3rd hold.All holes drilled easily without cracking. The flap fit well and tight with the provided screws after this customizing.Lastly, the navy blue color didn't match our navy blue helmet. It was closer to black so we attached it to our black helmet.We would have given the flap a higher score but with these differences, we just couldn't.

It’s serves the purpose. The screws that come with this might be a little short depending on the model and design of your helmet. Your local hardware store will have longer ones that will work fine.

Yes I had to drill holes, no big deal. SOn's helmet has the elongated ear holes so I attached one nut and screw first, placed it on his head and had him play with position for best line of sight while batting. Drilled the other two holes, done. My son has suffered 2 concussions from baseball but from playing out in the field, not at the plate. I just wanted to take the extra precaution should a ball come at his head.

Okay product does not fit all Mizuno helmets

Thank God Amazon had this product. It was deemed a requirement for all kids who played in the local Little League program. I have seen first hand this guard "work" and it was scary. The c-Flap was in such demand in March that at most sport sites they were back ordered. It was easy to attach to the helmet, if you have any problems, just ask the coach of the sport.

Ordered navy blue. Received a package that says "navy" but is clearly black in color. Already own a black one (and it is the same color as the "navy" one I received). Sending back and hoping for an actual navy blue one so it matches the new navy helmet. Also, you have to drill holes in the helmet for this c-flap to fit most helmets. Don't know why they don't change the design so they fit all helmets without drilling. Also don't understand why the helmet companies don't sell c-flaps that fit their helmets.

Muy buen producto, sirve muy bien y trae instructivo por si se tiene que modificar el casco. El mío traía tres orificios pero modifiqué para que quedara con mejor visibilidad.
