SHIMANO HG81 10-Speed Cassette

If you are planning on mounting it on a 10 gear shimano hub you better have an extra washer (keep it from the old one) because if not it will rattle, it doesn't close tight and as so it is worthless.Another thing I found is that this cassette is a couple of MM larger than the one I had on my bike before but since I replaced both the cassette and the chain, it worked just fine.A little suggestion, unless you have a new chain, when you change a cassette you want to change the chain as well.Other than that, it looks beautiful, and has perfect space between gears.

The Zee SL-M640A shifter, HG81 cassette, and RD-M640 overhaul I did on my mountain bike works awesome! No more chain slap, and shifts are quick and precise.I switched over to use a single chainring on the front (Origin8 94/5 bolt/32t) and it worked great!

It's a good cassette. Seems to shift smooth. Only negative thing is it makes ringing sounds like a bell every once and a while, but not enough to bother me.

I folded the teeth over on my OEM 1030 cassette, so I needed a replacement. I ordered the SLX cassette because it is held as being much stronger than the lower end SRAM cassettes because it is partially made from steel. I have been riding with this for 6 months now and have had zero issues. The cassette does sound completely different than the SRAM during shifts, but it functions flawlessly.
