This is a little book and it is filled with hand made paper. It is the perfect size for me. The leather cover is soft and easy to hold. And I really like the Celtic look with the Tree of life on the front and beautiful stamped design on back. It arrived on the last day today. On time. The little latch shows me when completed will be filled with sacred knowledge secrets to pass down generations. It will hold stories of life for many to enjoy. I gave this little Tree of Life to a younger member of our coven. She is so excited. It is a gift from her High Priestess and her Mom has the large book version of The Tree of Life. She is a blessing to our coven. So much enthusiasm, and wisdom to be so young. The truth is always a welcome gift to any ear. Our last meeting 3 Brown Eagles and 1 Red Tail Hawk, 2 Ravens, and a flock of Sparrows visited us. The gifts we are to one another. )O(

I was a bit confused it’s smaller then I thought, but you still can write or draw on the pages, it’s note book quality and the paper has a thickness to it, outside had a design on it, leather looking

The size and construction were just as described, and I had no issues with the leather or paper quality, which are much like my other similar journals. The issues were with the brass latch, which had green powdery oxidation on it that removed part of the finish, and also the leather dye, which was nearly black, made a powdery coating over almost the whole journal, and had also been rubbed onto some of the paper, I assume during assembly. I took a wipe to the whole outside, intending to wipe off the excess dye and then apply leather protector, but so much of the dye came off that it left little light "speckles" all over. So now I need to pick up some dark brown/walnut colored dye and try to even it out before adding the protective coating. All in all, I'll still use it, just not aesthetically what I was hoping for (before doing some work).

I love this little book! Price was reasonable and the size was as expected. Fits perfect in my pockets. The paper was nice and thick and of a very good quality. I worked at a print shop for almost 10 years so I'm very familiar with paper and weights. This book's paper is very fine for the price. It should cost more! The leather is beautiful and the interior pages are bound nicely. The leather embossing is beautiful. Even the interior side of the leather cover has been covered with a durable black material making the leather sturdy and firm. The paper is thick enough for water colors, fountain ink and charcoal. The exterior latch is also well made to keep the book closed, designed for rugged use. It's easy to close and once it's closed it remains closed. It won't just slip open. It's a thick little book perfect for poetry, small sketches and anything else you can imagine. I will definitely buy this book again in th future! Handsome, and looks beautiful on my shelves.

I love this beautiful, little book! The pages are amazing. Sharpie marker won't even bleed through. It's an absolutely amazingly crafted piece. I adore it for petitions. It's a nifty little spellbook shouldnyoi use it for that. Scripting, Journaling, or just everyday writing; this little book is amazing for all of that. Please read the dimensions because I thought it was a full sized book. (my own fault bc I didn't read). However, when I received it, there was 2 Seconds of shock bc it was so small. Then, when I actually LOOKED at it and held it, ugh I co ldnt be happier! I'm ordering a few more because it is just the bees knees!

This book is really gorgeous. The detail is amazing. Hand made paper, with plenty of pages. Extra fine details like metal corners and a beautifully crafted lock. Everyone who looks at it wants one. The leather is thin, which makes the book light, which I actually enjoy. I'm not carrying something that weighs a ton in my bag. If you want something that looks mass produced, this book may not be for you. If you want a beautiful shadow book that looks medieval and hand made, this is a great book.
