I don’t understand the poor reviews on here. I followed the instructions to the letter.1) Make sure you have a good base coat.2) Allow 4 hours to dry between coats (I applied 3)4) Let cure for 3 days.5) Condition the board with the side of a piece of chalk.Voila! Works perfectly. The one tip I would give is that I applied with a 3/8 in nap roller for full coverage, but then back rolled with a foam roller to remove excess and even out the coat. I used this product on a door, which is a smaller project, but you could get similar results on a wall as long as you back roll with a good, low nap roller.

The clear is MUCH different than the black chalkboard paint. It's much thicker than the traditional chalkboard paint. I found it hard to spread evenly and if it is not even the clarity of the surface can be a little iffy. However, I found that if you do a small sections in a cross hatch pattern (up/down then left/right) then it does dry better. It does take a full day to cure to clear. LIght colors the clarity isn't as noticeable. But it's fun to have that option on colors other than black.

Well I used this on a teenager's wall who loves to doodle! And it was super easy- took 2 coats just to sure I had good coverage. Other than chalk dust getting on carpet obviously when she 'doodles' it cleans up so easy- for light and neutral colors just a dry rag- the hot pink... well took a lil waterbut still came off perfectly! Would definitely use again.

it worked exactly as advertised - i painted this over my blue paint on a pegboard, and it is clear... however, it's very thick, so a thin layer goes a very long way. it dulled my paint, which is why i gave it four stars.

Seems pretty good so far. I used this on one wall and used up all of the container with two coats. We put it in our homeschool room and write on it with chalk markers.
