Wow! What a $ for an Excellent AD&D Beholder. Others a bonus. Beholder is tied in the back of box.
I paid $8 here. Unbelievable price for high quality metal figures. The Beholder is something to Behold. The color is striking. The paint isn't absolutely perfect like an individual miniature painter painted it. But for mass produced, you'd have to look at the mouth and teeth very closely. The contrast between the body & eyestalks and mouth, eye, teeth makes it really pop. It looks great on a desk. This is a very solid piece. The body is metal. The eyestalks are somewhat flexible soft plastic that maintains its form. They're spaced and positioned perfectly. The box is nice and sturdy. Note: The Beholder is twist tied in the back of the box with clear ties. DO NOT immediately try to remove him from the front. Cut the clear ties off the back then you can pull him out of the plastic. The way it sits on the plastic stand is like this. The Beholder is not permanently attached to the peg. You place the peg inside a hole. The peg is angled on the end. You rotate the Beholder until it sits upright. This means the plastic peg and base shouldn't break. You could easily add any of thee figures to any D&D game including the board games.aIt was shipped fast and securely to counter pickup by amazon off marketplace.

Great beholder but the other figures are disappointing
This set of die cast D&D figures from JADA Toys has a great Beholder miniature, but the other figures fall shortDesign: Each of the figures are metal, and covered with what appears to be enamel paint. The eye stalks on the beholder are appear to be made of somewhat flexible plastic, and its base is made of rigid clear plastic.Size: The top of the beholder's highest eye stalk is approximately 3" above the surface, and the width between the outermost eye stalks is also about 3". The other figures are about 1.75" tall which is much larger than typical 25mm or 28mm figures used for most table top RPGs where a typical figure would be closer to 1" tall. Also the bases are ovals that span across two squares on a typical 1" grid. This will likely cause placement issues during gameplay.Appearance: Each figure has a limited number of colors. The painting on the beholder looks the best. The other 4 figures leave a lot to be desired in terms the details, especially for items that aren't differentiated with different colors. For example, on each character the same color is used for their boots and the base. Meanwhile, the sword on Minsc's back is the same color purple as his cape. As a result, the painting on these figures looks careless. Meanwhile, the glossy colors used are poor choices for fabric, hair or skin tones.Furthermore, the Minsc figure in my set has a very noticeable paint defect. There is a purple paint mark on the base. Since it's the same color as his cloak, this must happened during the painting process and was missed by quality control. Also, the tips of beholder's teeth show a lot of the plum color used further inside the mouth, indicating a further painting defect.Usage: The highlight of this set is the beholder. If you're planning to use one in your game, the beholder in this set will serve well as an intimidating foe for your players. However, the other figures are less useful, especially if you are using other figures with 25mm or 28mm scale. I would also be concerned about accidentally striking these metal figures against other more delicate painted figures and possible causing damage to their paint.Overall, I like the beholder and look forward to using it in a game, but the other figures in this set are very disappointing due to their unusual scale and poor paint jobs.

Slightly too big
I found them slightly too big for D&D use. Taller than other comparable minis

Great quality
The media could not be loaded. These characters are die-cast with very good quality paint jobs. They are heavy yet easy to handle. Easy to use with a gaming map.
