If you must use a "bobber" then these work great!
I'm a persnickety dry fly fisher, but when turning to fish nymphs, I'm willing to use these bobbers. They are easy and quick to use and easy to see in choppy water. I always have several in my vest.

Awesome bobbers... er... strike indicators!
These strike indicators are great! I got the 1/2 inch size for nymphing. I love that they're so small and lightweight. I tried the foam football-shaped indicators, but they're a little too heavy, and tend to spook fish. The yarn indicators are lighter and more subtle, but they don't float quite as well in rough water. These are a really great compromise between the two. Mine came with the attached stoppers, which was not indicated in the product description, but was a nice bonus.

Cast well, easily detect strikes
Nice, small indicators that don’t hit the water too hard. I mostly use small nymphs (14/16) and nymph rigs with these and detecting strikes hasn’t been an issue. Will buy again when I inevitably run out from losing them in the trees. Once you figure out the loop system, they stay in place on your leader/tippet and aren’t too difficult to adjust the depth.

Great for Indicator Nymphing
I'm a big fan of these small indicators and use them on both stillwaters and small creeks. They float great and the different color indicators included in the multi-pack ensure that under any light condition I can detect strikes. A must have in my fly fishing vest!
