Like one or two other items I have bought for "incidental" use in presentations and the like, I checked reviews of "Jester Caps" relatively closely. Items meant for "costume" and "disquise" use are commonly pretty flimsy. The usual review says they fall apart after one or two uses. But here, this one reviewer had a good experience, and I can echo that with one small caveat.The construction and materials are frist rate. This is NOT a piece of clothing which will fall apart after one use. The material is a strong felt / velour and the colors are strong (I suspect one will want to be very careful to wash it in cold water. The inside has a satin lining. The tag says "all new materials" and I believe it. If properly stored, it will serve for years. It is worth the $20 cost.My one small reservation is that the cap size is on the small size in circumference and in the depth of the hemisphere. There is no size adjustment provision and no elastic in the headband. As is, it fit my small to medium head quite nicely, but there was some danger of loosing it if I was not sure it was quite well pulled down as far as it would go. With the big, floppy bell arms, I would not trust this outside in a high wind. But, with those reservations, this did my job perfectly, and it will do it again for a long time.

The other reviews I read were right! This is an excellent product and especially for the reasonable price! The material is not shoddy, the workmanship is good and the design and colors are rich, as they should be. The 'horns' clearly have some stiffening material in them and it works well.This hat is even lined!My only concern - and it is not a huge issue - is that I want to stuff more stuffing in the 'horns' and because of the lining (which I love) it will require me to open up a seam in the lining. Here's the puzzling thing. There is a velcroed opening in the lining - and I hoped it would be easy access to put more stuffing in - which would be great. However, it is actually a small, velcroed pocket! I have no idea what for.I guess if someone were in total costume in a public place - they wouldn't have to carry a bag, but could put keys and ID in this tiny pocket? I have no idea. The good thing is that I can more easily open the seam inside the pocket and re-sew it, without threatening the integrity of the lining. So, that is great!Love this hat!

You can't examine construction or a get a proper feel of an item.My son dropped a hint that he would like a jester's cap for Christmas, so I did a little research online and was surprised by the sheer number of jester's caps on the market. Who knew?Eventually, I had to make a choice, and this model appeared to have the most consistently high reviews. This hat is very well-made, quite large, colorful, comfy, and plush! I found it perfect for occasions sublime to the ridiculous! You can't wear it and not smile--what a delight!!! I'd buy this happy hat again for sure!

We needed a hat for a costume for a multi-day presentation. This one was great! It is very well made, the colors are bright, and though we only needed it for one person, the sizing looks as though it could accommodate nearly anyone. Unlike similar products, this was not a "one-off". It has been placed into storage where I am sure that it will find use for many years to come.
