Honda HRR Blade Set 72531-VE2-020, 72511-VE1-020

Fits and cuts exactly as it should. Definitely worth the effort and cost. Lawn looks great again.

These are Honda blades that are an exact replacement for my original blades. They are easy to install but a torque wrench is required to properly tighten the bolts. With the new blades my mower cuts clean and easy.

Good OEM blades. My old blades were 10+years old and would not hold an edge very long after sharpening. These blades had a slightly blunt edge due to the e-coating but that would have worn off the edge quickly. Runout was 1/16 of an inch or less. (within tolerance) They were very slightly off balance. (also probably within tolerance) Being a perfectionist, I took a mill file to the edge to balance the blades and remove the e-coating. It didn't take long to balance the blades perfectly (I used a vertically mounted balancer with a bearing mounted spindle) All mower blades need a little TLC but the OEM blades seem to last longer. Would buy again.

Arrive unsharpened (for obvious reasons). Once you sharpen these, they work great on our Honda mulching mower. This is our second set. The first set lasted about two years with periodic sharpening and care.

I had some doubts about these blades 'cuz I could not find new blades with the same part numbers that were etched on the originals. Upon receipt of the new blades I compared them to the originals. I'm no mechanical engineer so take this with a grain of salt.- To me the new blades seemed to be just as heavy as the originals.- They seemed to be the same dimensions. They fit together as well as the originals did.- When I went to install them they lined up well with the old sockets and even the old bolts w/ washers fit well (of course I applied Blue Loctite to the bolts, and torqued to 38 lbs).- When I went to use them, I did not detect any new or additional vibration. I saw the new blades cut the grass as well as the original ones did (before they needed a lot of repeat sharpening).I still kept the original blades, just in case. But I've not seen a need to remove the new ones, after having mowed with them at least 3 times.My old mower is a Honda HRM215K3SDA . Original, upper mulching blade has: HONDA VE2-020 W21963. Original, lower mulching blade has: HONDA VE2-000 W22048.New blades purchased June 2024 were both in wrapping with Honda logo. One blade has numbers 72531-VE2-020 and the other has 72511-VE1-020

I like the fact that the Honda dealer said the product is discontinued not made anymore.Found them on aAmazon, and the mulching and regular blades fit perfectly for my 215 hrd sms.

It's good to be using Honda blades again. We used knock offs last season and into spring this year and were never happy with the cut. Last season we contacted our local lawnmower shop to see if they had the Honda blades we needed. They seem to need to be replaced more often than other lawn mowers we had in the past. The lawn mower shop said they were in stock and so we made the trip and once there we found they had just one of two blades needed. That is why we ended up with knock offs. Sure glad to have the Honda blades back. Nice even cut. Still mow twice on the front lawn. We mulch and sometimes it's necessary. Our order did take some time to get here. Good blades though and I won't buy knock offs again. Here it's June 2020, just over a year since I bought the blades and I'm already looking for new ones. I've been told by our lawn mower repair man something I found out since the purchase of these blades. That Honda blades are too soft and wear out quickly. I should be able to get more than a year out of $90.00 blades.
