MOTOKU Carburetor for Ruckus NPS50 2003-2019

Fits perfectly and works great with my Honda Metro. Installation was straightforward, and the carburetor runs smoothly, improving performance and throttle response. I’ve had no issues with it so far, and it’s definitely made a noticeable difference in how my scooter runs.

Great value. My ruckus was bogging down and not starting. I took off the OEM carb and cleaned it. It worked for a little while but then same problem returned. I opted to try a new carb instead of cleaning it again and this one works great. Even comes with some extra bits.

I've rebuilt carburetors from my Metropolitan and my ruckus. They ran okay. My wife's Metropolitan was faster than my ruckus probably cuz I have a few pounds on her. Although this Parts not OEM, if you install it right new spark plug and fuel filter you will get about 4 mph faster out of it. And if you change the belt I guarantee you'll get a few miles an hour faster out of it. I'm not a mechanic by no means but I am troubleshooter. I just ordered another one for the Metropolitan. But I may have put my foot in my mouth but I don't think I did. I got 15,000 miles on my ruckus. Already put a set of tires on it. It's a great machine. But even does well out in the Everglades for Florida and the soft sand. If any of you remember behind the 50 back in the day we all wanted one. Now we got a lazy Honda 50 which means it's automatic no more shifting I'm getting old. I also have 1968 dune buggy with a 1600 in it. I replaced 1100. Still got some tweaks to do but not being a mechanic I can pull that motor unless than 2 hours. This carburetor comes with a cleaning kit it's well worth the deal after working on it tonight I worked morning tonight a Ruckus runs better than new I'm actually shocked. It's amazing what they're worth now from what I paid for it in 2008. I use mine as a miniature truck. My whole 2x4s groceries, furring strips. I even want to bet that I can pick up 15 bags of ice for my buddy's bar.. that was back in 2009. The great machines. After I put this carburetor in being in Fort Lauderdale which is a little cold tonight she ran like a champ. I do need a spark plug because I keep cleaning this spark plug that's been in there for 15,000 miles. By the way I had a heart attack in 2008 and Aflac bought those two scooters for me and my wife. Take my truck load them up Fort Myers we had the greatest time in the world go to Key West and that's all you drive 80 miles to the gallon.

Installed this on my 2007 Honda Ruckus. Took about 30 minutes to remove old carb and install new one. Ruckus was bought used and didn't idle well, or run well. It runs perfect now. I did have to adjust the air fuel screw to make the ratio perfect. This screw is on the left side of carb. Adjust the side screw to create the highest idle speed. This is the ideal mixture because the engine idles higher because of the perfect air fuel ratio. If you have a low rpm tachometer that detects slight changes in rpm, that would work best. The idle speed screw that just adjusts idle speed is on top of carb. Accessible through a hole below seat. Before you do all this, it is a good idea to make sure air filter is clean, spark plug is good, oil is at proper level, and you have no air leaks anywhere in airbox.

UPDATE--- drove 20mi and coolant started leaking from the left side brass nipple which connects to carb. Gave 5 stars before but sending it back for refund and will give update. -----I was having severe bogging issue, random loss of power on Ruckus with 600mi on it. DO NOT follow advice online from videos- they are not certified Honda mechanics just weekend handyman or so called experts. I cleaned my Original Carb 3X, put OEM jets, airfilter, battery, sparkplug, new oil, coolant, ECM reset etc. Same thing again n again Loss of speed n power at startup and random times. As last resort I put this new carb in- took 45mins from complete ruckus floor removal to install. Started right up, drove 2mi with no issue. Only thing i had to adjust was the idle. Take my advice-if you have bogging issues-just replace the Carb- cheaper, faster and easier. Per Honda dealer here- the proper way to clean carb their way is to take everything apart including both electric connections, mixture, drain screw, jets, float, needle etc-then bath it in ultrasonic cleaner, dry, blow then install and reset mixture control(with proper instruments) - this is way beyond the expertise of BS videos online. Trust me I learned the hard way...save you some grief.
