There's nothing like a classic!
I am so happy that I decided to purchase this book. My 8 year-old son and I have made a commitment to read each night, for at least 20 minutes. I decided to start with American classics. We are enjoying this book so much! There is some material in the book that requires explanations but to me, that provides me with teachable moments and conversation starters. This book is helping us discuss many aspects of American history and some serious social issues, not to mention that my son loves making references to things in the book that only he and I understand. I would recommend this book for anyone who is looking for an enjoyable read, whether you're reading as a family or not.

Title twist
I selected the "Classic starts" version for purchase because the "The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn" is exactly the same as the title of the novel itself. That indicated to me that it was one of many editions of the novel. When I began reading it and enjoying the plot, I thought my memory was playing a trick on me as I remembered the plot to be much more detailed. Then when I checked out a copy of the "real" novel from the library, I realized my memory had been correct and that the "Classic starts" version, while interesting and easy to read, it is not a version of the novel. Since I will soon attend a class requiring reading of "The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn," I will have to rely on the library copy.

It is not "Huckleberry Finn."
It was purported to be the Mark Twain book but is, in fact, the story retold by someone unknown. The beauty, the impact on future American literature and the importance of this book revolve around two things: the question of race in the country and the fact that Twain told the story (through Huck) in the language of the day necessitating the abandonment of rules of grammar, syntax, spelling, etc.The version I received bears no relevance to this milestone of American literature.I will go now contact you to get a refundAnd don't tell me that this was revealed in the book positing on your site. The only mention I could find upon revisiting the site is a note on the front cover of the book which while readable is not something most would pay any attention to.

X'mas present for my friend's 6 year old
The book is not too colorful and not too big. Instead, it has a very readable print for a 6 year-old who is now intensely practicing his reading. Though he likes books about transformers and other similar stuff, his favorite reading book is this one. I am very happy with the choice. Good value for money.

Eè stato un errore
Questo non è il testo originale di Mark Twain ma una riedizione semplificata ed accorciata del testo originale. Questo tipologia di libri dovrebbe essere chiaramente indicata in modo da distinguerli chiaramente dai testi originali.
