Oh my god, Jackie Morris is a deity level children's illustrator. This book is a feast for the eyes. The writing is so lovely. The typography was not an afterthought, unlike so many other books - it's very much treated as the overall visual banquet. Adorable poems, glorious art. I weep tears of joy when I see media like this coming out for kids. It's such an antidote to all the condescending, consumerist corporate trash. This book should be everywhere, for all children to read. It's so perfect.

The media could not be loaded.  The book is beautiful but some seller stocked their store with upside down printings for full price. I am sure they got them marked down but it is unfair to pay full price for substandard content.

Do not buy.

I read this book before falling to sleep. I am 66 and I was read nursery rhymes as a child. Calms me and I get sleepy. I have not heard of all these nursery rhymes so very nice for me! The illustrations are beautiful.

Beautiful book, a present for my sister.

I read in the reviews by one person who stated that she sent the book back because she didn't know any of the rhymes! Well I don't know where she comes from but I can assure you there are many popular rhymes in this book and the pictures are stunning as I said above Jackie Morris doesn't disappoint a truly lovely book for anyone's collection and well worth buying.

Absolutely delightful! The details in the illustrations completely captivated my two year old granddaughter. So glad we bought this for her.
