Dream Chronicles & Dream Chronicles 2: The Eternal Maze (JC)

This game is fun and, for me challenging. I'm a "old guy", so I'm not as "mouse quick" as some of you "youngsters" are. A puzzle that requires speed of assessment or following a sequence of flashing lights is difficult for me to master. So far I'm stuck on the chess game portion of Dream Chronicles 2. A flashing light sequence puzzle. If there is any method of bypass on any of these puzzles, I've yet to find it. Therefore I'm stuck. The very last set of flashing light sequences as defeated me for two weeks now. as a result of not being able to bypass it I can go no further. That's the only complaint I've got with either Dream Chronicles or Dream Chronicles 2. As I said it's a fun game. The graphics are great and the color is fantastic. If you are, unlike myself, "mouse quick" you'll have no problem and you will enjoy it. If anyone out there in "puzzle land" is familiar with this game and knows of a way to bypass that chess game puzzle, I appreciate a hint or two. I would have rated it 4 and 1/2 stars if there was a puzzle bypass included.

Got originally for a friend who really loves the series but we didn't have the first two of the series (and it's next to impossible to find outside of here on Amazon). The first game worked great, but for whatever reason, the second game popped up with an error message and would not play properly for whatever reason. Since the first game worked, I'm not planning on returning it but it was kind of a let down that the second game didn't work.The game arrived promptly and in the same condition it was mentioned aside from the second game not working.

I couldn't wait to get this game and begin playing it, but my Mac version asks for an unlock key to play the game (and if I cannot find one, I have to pay again). I have looked at the question and answer about the unlock code, but was unable to find any such string of letters and/or numbers anywhere on my disc or package/case. The only other option until I get more information about the unlock key is to try the free trial. Dream Chronicles 2 offers me one hour for my trial but Dream Chronicles 1 says that my trial has expired, though I have never played on it before. I do not know if this means that the disc I bought has been previously played on or what. I am disappointed currently and hope that I can get more help with this unlock code.

I like this game but have been stuck in one place for along time. I can't find any real help or hints for it.SEPT.11,2014The comment on this review is from me. I didn't think about the editing, but anyone interested in this game should read it first. I have windows 8 and there was no loading problem, it just popped up and gave me a choice to buy it right then. NO THANKS!! I think once is enough.

I absolutely LOVE Dream Chronicles and play these games all the time on my PC. The gameplay is fun, the Art Nouveau is gorgeous, and the music peaceful and inspiring. I got my niece addicted to it, so I bought her this Mac version. They tried to install it and both games required an unlock code after installation but before playing. But there is NO unlock code included on the CD or packaging material. I can't find any way to contact Playfirst or Encore about this problem, as there doesn't seem to be support anymore for this older game. If you buy this set for modern Mac computers you will NOT be able to play it. Disgusted that they keep selling this game to people who can't even install it.

I love the first game but i can NOT playing on 8 or higher. The second one i can play just fine. Something about error. I tried to reinstall and everything. But i am glad the second worked :)

I bought this game for my 15 year old daughter. Watching her play the game, I got curious and start to play the game. As an older adult, I can not play video games but I was very excited to find that I had finally found a game I could play. I can't wait to get Dream Chronicles 3.

3 Stars because of false description of item. States game in JC. (jewel case) It is not in jewel case, game is wrapped in cardboard.
