Love the look and quality, attention to detail. Not one Flaw. Perfect. Will use for Surf Fishing off the California Coast. Pacifica Ca. Got the 11 footer for long casting. Slim but strong...Guides are double footed and solid glued. This Rod could easily cost more, it is a great buy. I have over Twenty Fishing Rods, this one is in the Top Three. Pics will follow.

Perfectly fits my normal size of a 5-6 spotry guys, with a big palm. Confrable to hold the skinnyer stickin mi hand, and its instantly responsive, It become my sheepshead’s rod. But i like to cast my holden spoon with it….

I purchased the 10' version.Overall, I was very satisfied with this rod, even though I had to return the first one that was shipped to me due to a broken eye insert. I was a little reluctant to have a replacement shipped to me but the second one did not have any issues and arrived quickly.I used this rod for a week of surf fishing in Florida and was very pleased with how the rod handled. The only thing that worried me was that the reel seat loosened up a couple of times. Granted, this could have been due to me not tightening it down enough.

After a TON of research, I opted to go for this rod, despite the fact that it was below my budget. I just didn’t think a rod this inexpensive would handle so well. Paired it up with a 5000 Penn Pursuit III, 40lb spider wire braid with 50lb fluero leader and couldn’t be happier! I can’t believe this good of a rod is so inexpensive. It’s lightweight with a somewhat narrow diameter. So it doesn’t feel like your casting with a tree trunk. That slimmer diameter makes for a pretty sensitive rod. Yet, it still feels strong enough to land just about anything.I am able to fling 1/2 kastmasters a country mile and heavier lures even further.Down here along the Sea of Cortez, you can run into just about any fish possible from shore. Giant grouper, yellowtail, big snapper, Spanish mackerel…you name it, it’s probably here and ready to fight. Both the Crevalle Jack and Tunny I reeled in this morning were the perfect test to see how it would handle. It did not disappoint.Just buy it, you’ll be glad you did!

I have only used the rod once, and it has worked great.

Really disappointed. The inside of eyes through with the fishing line passes are lined with a cheap, brittle plastic. I ordered mine last year but just got the chance to use it the first time (after the return window). I took it to the beach for the first time and 2nd cast my line broke. Realized shortly thereafter that the front 2 eyes had broken, jagged plastic on the inside.The rod looks and feels nice, that first cast was great! But, having owned fishing poles since I was 3 years old, I've -never- had an eye fall apart like that on a brand new rod, let alone 2. I still have antique rods which are serviceable. Very disappointed. I may try filing and smoothing the bare metal (which currently has a sharp edge) to see if can still be used that way.

Big Jacks, Cubera Snapper, Snook, Grouper, and Barracudas. This 3 piece 13 foot shadow hunter is awesome, I would like to buy another one of their rods, hopefully they will make things right
