Finally reclined rear seats—my kids actually say it’s comfy now.
This Ohio Diesel Parts recline kit actually changes the angle of the rear seat by about 2.5″, and my passengers immediately noticed the difference. No more upright torture—now it’s casual comfort even on longer trips✅ What I Liked:Noticeable recline – Gains about 2.5″ of lean, softening that brutal factory 90° angle .Solid build – CNC-machined spacers (Delrin or aluminum) feel sturdy. No fear of cracking or shiftingEverything included – Comes with longer bolts and washers so you don’t have to hunt for hardwareEasy install – Took about 45 minutes solo [user experiences], and many say it's “pretty painless”⚠️ What Could Be Better:Bolt removal is a headache – Factory bolts can be stubborn; breaker bar or impact tools helpSeats no longer fold flat – You trade recline for folding capability; something to keep in mindInstruction clarity varies – Most users got by fine, but a few noted lack of detailed instructions .🔧 Install Notes:Use an impact or good breaker bar to loosen bolts.Doesn’t affect seat folding dramatically—still works, just not flat.⭐ Final Verdict:If you’re carrying adults or tall kids in the back, this kit actually makes the ride more comfortable. It’s solidly built, easy to install, and affordable. Just go in knowing it alters seat folding and may require some elbow grease on bolts. My rear-seat passengers? They immediately said “this is better.” I'd call that a win.

Worse the headache of install
Overall these make the backseat much more comfortable, The install wasn't terrible but in my case the seat lugs were tightened way beyond factory specs for some reason, and it was really hard to break them loose. The install seems really weird as you start to get things pulled apart and start to put the spacers in holes don't line up perfectly because it's spacing farther out just loose and stuff up a little bit more in the back and you'll be fine.I found it also helped to rock the seats a little bit as I was hand threading the middle bolts.Front bolts were a piece of cake, foot pounds in instructions were accurate with Jeeps recommendation for seat bolt tightness.Overall it was worth the headache of the install because it made the back seat so much more comfortable.I installed the aluminum onesPro:Works as advertisedMakes back seats much more comfortableCon:One of those just pain in the butt installs but worth it in the end.

Little bit of instructions for install.
First of all the parts fit great and do the job. It makes the seat more comfortable. As for the bolts being tight or being over torqued beyond specs….. nope. Seat bolts, just like the seat belts are help in by a self locking welded nut plate and a thread locking compound is used. Of course they are tight. They are supposed to be. It will take work to remove. Impact wrench will save you lots of time and effort.About alignment. As with anything having multiple bolts. They all need to be loose before attempting to install all bolts. There are the bolts that the spacers go under but don’t forget to loosen up the 3 brackets on the floor behind the seat. When these are loosened the seat will move easily and all bolts can be removed and installed without incident. Again, don’t blame the product or the vehicle. Start with yourself……😉

Get this. No need to pay more !
I got this at a considerable saving from other rear seat recline kits. I don't regret the decision. The bolts and delrin spacers are of high quality at least equal to other kits costing almost twice as much.It installs fine, but I took one start away for one fine detail related to the bolt. The bolts provided are not tapered like the factory OEM bolts. The bolts provided has threads to the very tip of the bolt. OEM bolt has a quarter inch or so in the tip that is not threaded and smooth. The bolts provided will not screw in unless it is absolutely perfectly aligned with the bolt hole. This made the bolts under the seat in the back very very hard to screw in. It was almost impossible to align bolt to the hole at the same time as pushing the seat in alignment with every thing else. All this has to be done without actually being able to see the said hole, because it's under the delrin spacers. At the end tho, every thing installed fine. I think it made a significant difference in rear seat comfort. Well worth the money.--INSTALL TIPS--Before I leave, wanted to leave some pointers for others installing this in the future:1)After loosening the bolts in the trunk space behind the seat and taking out the 4 bolts@legs under the seat, DO NOT COMPLETELY TAKE OUT THE 3 BOLTS IN THE BACK UNDER THE SEAT. I recommend only loosening them first. And then, take one (of the 3) out and sneak in a spacer and thread the bolt down a bit. Now do the second one then the third the same way. Only one bolt of the three should be completely out at a time.I made a mistake of taking all 3 out and it took the frame out of alignment which made it almost impossible to align them back to the hole and thread the bolts. (Especially, if you use the provided bolts that has the threads all the way to the end.)2) These bolts got RED thread lockers. I recommend a compact impact wrench. At least have some sort of a breaker bar. But, good luck getting that long stick in there under the seats. (I had a Milwaukee stubby compact Impact wrench, which is god sent)Every thing else is easy peazy.

Kids love it!
Get ready to use some power to break the OEM bolts loose. These worked like a charm but look at videos for install. 18mm with a 1/2 impact is almost a must. I had to break the bolts loose by hand first then used an impact the rest of the way. Tilts the seat back about 2.5 inches. Fit great. Height is perfect. Quality seems to awesome as well.I didn’t tell the kids I installed this. Had them jump in the jeep and they noticed right away so that is a positive. Much more comfortable for them.
