Mil-Tec Double Breasted Naval Great Coat (Black)

Very warm. When I put on this coat it's like being on Titanic.

This was shipped very quickly and good quality. I would order again if needed.

First off shipping was phenomenal. Showed up a week before the estimated delivery date. As for the coat, outstanding! I'm 6'3" about 245 so I ordered the largest size and it fits perfectly. If this company ever gets to making a WWII army version, I'll probably buy that as well.

Finally, a double-breasted wool coat that fits me! Much better than the ones from China - ALL of which were too small!

This coat gives you a very dashing look while milling about smartly. It isn't built to be worked in, but if your job involves standing about in the cold, you can't do much better. I would recommend changing out the buttons as soon as possible.

Not as thick as i was hoping for but still heavy.

My old military surplus greatcoat I've used last few winters has become a bit tatty, so I was looking for this to replace it. Been wearing it last few weeks since the winter weather kicked in, good material, heavy and warm for the cold, wet weather, very long (comes down below my knees!) so you can really wrap yourself up in it. Handsome looking naval officer design, has garnered quite a few compliments from people.Good price and came very quickly, only taking one star off as the very nice, shiny buttons were so loosely stiched on that two came off within days just brushing against things (luckily managed to save them and easy enough to sow back on a bit better than how they arrived), but that's the only niggle after wearing it in rain, ice and snow through Dec and into Jan so far, so that's pretty damned good! Hopefully this will do me several winters like its predecesor.

Quality coat very happy with it, im 6'1 chest size 50 and this size is good for me, i would say if you want to wear a jacket under this and wear this as an over coat you need a bigger size, i plan to wear mine with a shirt and t shirt under or a roll neck sweater.Length wise it to long for me its down on to my calf, i plan to have the local tailors shorten the length to just under my knee i knew this would probably be the case when ordering so its not a problem, the alteration to the length will be around £25/30.The buttons are quite loss on the coat, but i think they are more tacked on to be honest in case people dont like the bright shine of them and want to change them to the black pea coat style buttons that come with the coat, i plan on changing my buttons completely to skull buttons that you can find on ebay.Im very happy with this coat, its very heavy and sure to keep you warm on the coldest days, it has a great big collar that wen put up covers your neck very well.Some delivery problems that were quickly sorted out by Dan , thanks Dan.All in all i would recommend this coat , its well worth the money.

The coat itself ranks four or five stars, if you like pronounced shoulder pads (maybe that was just with me inside it!). The feel of the material made me wonder how they can do it for the price! As for the length, I'm 6'-0"; and the bottom hem sat at around the halfway point between knee and ankle, which, to me, looked very cool. So, the chest was a 'size small' (Edit: I'm a 45"), the waist a size big; but the sleeves were 'dead-on' perfect; which means that the next size up would have it's problems, too. I will keep looking; but after three returns from three different sellers, I may have to allocate a few more 'shekles' for a 'made-to-measure' coat. After that story, the biggest disappointment (equal to my not being able to keep such a nice coat) is the £17.50, which the Post Office charged me, to return that darn package. Hope this helps.

This is a truly beautiful garment that is a dream to wear.In regards to sizing, it does size large but this is to be expected as it is a genuine military coat so presumably designed to be worn over a uniform.In terms of length, I am 5'10 (or thereabouts) and the coat came in at ankle length on me (which I love).It is a warm garment (perfect for late January in Germany which is where I gave it a trial run). I received many compliments on the item.My one criticism is that, as others have mentioned, the buttons do come loose so caution is required. The coat comes pre-adorned with the golden buttons bearing the anchor motif. It does come with a replacement set of plain black buttons but I love the golden ones which matched the aesthetic I was going for. It would be a shame to lose a button from the original set and one did come off on my first wearing. Luckily I have a seamstress wife who has secured all of the buttons and I have had no other issues since.Highly recommended coat. Very reasonable for the price.

I love this coat for winter, good length and heavy weight making it warm and wind proof.Fits well, though the buttons are loosely attached and did ping off eventually, so needed sewing back on more securely, also comes with a black set if you want a more stealthy less bling look.
